I remember Nick hyping the shit out of Allen Strange. They would play a regular commercial for other shows like Kenan & Kel or Alex Mack and in the middle of it, it would be interrupted with a "Who is Allen Strange?" message before going back to the commercial. Then when it aired, I think I only watched like 3 episodes.
Anyways, most of those shows I know from TVTropes and from here actually.
