OK let's get away from the childhood crutch and think of things that put us off when we were a bit older, things that do so now, even.
The ending to Sweet Dreams, the Patsy Cline biopic. Didn't see it in its entirety till now...when the plane hits the cliff...I didn't need buckets of blood nor flaming bodies to be hit like a ton of bricks.
Rewatching Batman Beyond...man, a lot of gruesome stuff happens to the villains there.

The last 30 minutes of REQUIEM FOR A DREAM. Great movie, but I'll never watch it again. I would put Requiem for a Dream on the list of movies you should see once and never again. |

Scary Movie 5. In that I can't believe I wasted an hour and thirty minutes of my life watching Scary Movie 5.
I had an existential crisis after that movie. That scene with Carmen Electra taking a dump in the church... it just made realize that true evil does exist in this world.

Fred Madison's meeting with the Mystery Man in Lost Highway. Everything about him was unsettling from his unusually pale skin, that devious smile and his voice that seemed to be tinted in pure malice.
The uncensored Obscure music video from Dir En Grey's Average Psycho DVD. Saw that one at a friends house on one of my weeks off and i could barely eat for about 2 weeks.

Not an adulthood thing, but I saw Trainspotting the day it came out when I was 14 and it's one of the main reasons why I've never touched a drug before in my life. Scared the shit out of me. |
