Found one in the clearance aisle at Toys R Us around the year 2000 for $100. Yeah, i picked it up.
The firefighter game was a lot like an updated version of Atari's Haunted House. The boxing game was pretty good also.

Sega CD got the best port of Road Rash, because it was the only port to feature redbook audio music DURING the actual gameplay. I loved listening to Hammerbox and Soundgarden while playing this game. (By the way, this game introduced me to both bands.)

No cause they were bloody expensive, And being 7 in 93 I couldn't go out and buy one.
I'd love to see some re releases (ala Night trap) especially Snatcher, Hell I'd take a gog/steam release

I had a Sega CD. My family didn't know about video games so they bought Sega CD first and then the next day bought the Genesis. I actually didn't ask for a console system and didn't know about either so it was fun to get it. I had Sewer Shark that came with it and Final Fight CD.

I actually used to have Snatcher (traded it straight-up for a PS4). Only problem is since it's SO story driven, you can pretty much pull up a longplay of it and get 99.9% of the experience right there.

I had it and loved it. Spent my First Communion money on it, still happy with that purchase. Best Spider-Man game that decade (seriously, Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin is an unsung hero of a great innovative platformer), best port of Mortal Kombat 1, best version of Batman Returns, an NHL 94 that somehow improved upon perfection.
Loved it. Still ride for it.

Not when I was a kid as I begged for one but my parents said no.
But many years later despite being told by several people who had owned one that it was piece of shit I got a Mega CD plus a whole bunch of games for 50 bucks at a garage sale and I soon found out they were right.

I have one.... Sonic CD was my favorite Sonic game ever, and it did have the absolute best version of Final Fight available at the time.

But many years later despite being told by several people who had owned one that it was piece of shit I got a Mega CD plus a whole bunch of games for 50 bucks at a garage sale and I soon found out they were right. I said it in a different thread, but I always get the impression people shit on it for either being a failed Sega add-on and/or the reviewers that just dump on the thing (AVGN, Spoony, etc.). The 32X has almost nothing worth finding on it (after Virtua Racing Deluxe and Knuckles Chaotix, I struggle to think of one game that's "must play"). But the Sega CD had a decent amount. Sure, it had some real trash, and too many people got so worked up over having full-motion video they seemed to forget to make a videogame, but there's a handful of quality games on the system. If you have a shot to buy one at a decent price (which is kinda tough as many stores will sell the Genesis/CD together and not split them...a chain of stores near me do it that way), I'd pick it up and try to flag some of those games down. Snatcher and Popful Mail are bank-breakers (and dare I mention Keio Flying Squadron, maybe the rarest American game on any Sega console), but Sonic CD isn't too hard to find, Dragon's Lair/Space Ace are pretty faithful to the arcade games and are pretty common (to my understanding), Silpheed is a really good 2D shooter for cheap (which is pretty noteworthy considering most good 2D shmups are expensive), it's got BY FAR the best console iteration of Final Fight, the best console port of MK 1 (though in this day finding the arcade version in a Midway compilation is almost TOO easy)...there's plenty of good stuff to find at decent prices.

I had a JVC X'EYE (3rd party Genesis/Sega CD combo console). Had some pretty awesome games for it (Mortal Kombat, Silpheed, Final Fight, Dungeon Master II). Gave it to my nephew a few years back. Think he still has it

I got mine for real cheap back in the day at a pawn shop. Played it for awhile, then quit. I had a similar with my Virtual Boy.

By the time the Sega CD hit shelves I was in high school and working two jobs. So got the model 1 the day it came out. Damn good system. That gets crapped on sometimes. Sure there was some extremely crappy games for it,Marky Mark make my video and most of the FMV stuff. But then you had Snatcher,Lunar 1 and 2 and a bunch of other good games. Finally sometime in the mid 90s when my home was broken into all my game systems got stolen.
Then in about 2003 a buddy had bought at some flea market 3 Sega Genesis model 2s and 3 Sega CD Model 2s. He gave me one of each.

The only system to let you play as The Headshrinkers. Or Kamala? Anyway, that was probably the biggest roster of any wrestling game up to that point. I was out of watching wrestling at that point, but nerdgasmed when I saw the ad for that in Gamepro.

Everything you said plus Columns CD is by far the best version of that puzzle game
