Just finished watching this again. Such a great movie.
Wish it was a bigger hit. I might not be a big fan of the news of a remake but I hope we get a better Blu-Ray. This movie deserves a better one then one with just a damn trailer

They cast the wrong Campbell.

They cast the wrong Campbell. Yeah, it should've been Naomi Campbell. Naomi's sexier than Billy and the scenes where the Rocketeer throws their phone would be memorable

Always liked the film and Jennifer Connelly is just insanely hot in it.

If the 25th anniversary came & went without a considerable Blu-Ray/home video release for what's become a legit cult classic, then I doubt we'll ever get anything more on that front.
I think Disney had some screening event for it last year, but that was it.

Jennifer Connelly has been a crush of mine since I was a kid watching Labyrinth
My wife actually got to have lunch with her and Vince Vaughn while they were filming The Dilemma, because she told Ron Howard where the bathroom was in her building and he bought her lunch. I was so jealous.
As far as The Rocketeer, it is a solid action movie that I recall feels a lot of ways like a Marvel MCU Phase One film.

Extremely underrated film. Lots of fun, best non-mainstream Superhero film ever.

One of my favorite childhood movies ever and also the first movie I ever saw in the cinemas. So it will always have a soft spot in my heart.
Even as a 4-year old, Jennifer Connelly in that movie was beautiful.

Jennifer Connelly - so hot in this movie and Timothy Dalton is one of my favourite actors of all time.
Like Dick Tracy from a year earlier just love this film and probably watch it at least once a year

Love this move. The James Horner score, the supporting cast with Alan Arkin, Paul Sorvino, Terry Quinn. Such a fun movie to watch.
And, oh yeah, Jennifer Connelly. Sigh...

It would be the best.

Loved the comic, well the Dave Stevens stuff haven't bothered with any Rocketeer stuff not by him,and enjoyed the film. I get why there was some changes made from comic to movie. Would love to see more of the Stevens' based stuff get adapted into a film or tv show.
Fun Fact for a few years Dave Stevens was married to Scream Queen Brinke Stevens. And the character Jennifer Connelly plays is partially based on Brinke and partially based on Bettie Page.

His connection to Bettie Page, whom he was a huge fan of, is rather sweet (and sad): comicsalliance.com/dave-stevens-rocketeer-bettie-page-pop-culture-sexy-comics/

They cast the wrong Campbell. You're right. Bruce Campbell would have been amazing in this.
