My condolences to him and his family. That's got to be agonizing.

Upon reading the title, I was happy to hear that somebody's taking over the helm, seeing how I'm not a fan of his interpretation of the DC characters. Once I read the reason, though, that feeling quickly turned into sorrow for him and his family. I hope they can find peace in this time.

Geez that's frigging heartbreaking. I just couldn't imagine going through something like that.

I didn't like Snyder's movie, I don't take him for a genuine fan, but I would've never wanted something like this to get him away from the project. Horrible news, condolences.

This is when I wish moments like where superman talked a man off a ledge were more a reality. Such a tragedy, and I'm sending prayers and love to the Snyder family. I'd trade all the movies competition bs to the wayside if it meant a father never has to bury his own child.

Awful awful situation and I really feel for him and his family.
Puts all this movie back and forth in perspective. Small potatoes compared to real issues in the world today.
I really hope they dedicate JL to his daughter. That'd be kinda sweet.

I'm a big fan of Joss but I loved man of steel and dawn of justice so I'm disapointed that Snyders steps down, and the reason behind it is so sad...

Just an unspeakable tragedy for a parent.
RIP to Autumn Snyder and thoughts and prayers for Zack and his wife.

Some of you need to get your priorities in order. Actually sickened by some of the responses here.

I'm not a fan of Zack Snyder and for how much I wanted him to step down from doing the Justice League movie, this is not how I wanted it to go. No parent should never have to experience their daughter's passing.

Really wish we could do away with the "I hate the movies" qualifier. No one is going to think wrong of you if you just pay respects guys.

You know what the worst part about this is? She died in March, and he's just now stepping down in May. So for 2 months or so, this poor guy was presumably still trying to march on with his job. I can't imagine being in those shoes. I legitimately hope he and the family can find some form of inner peace eventually.

He tried to dive into his work to try and ease the pain but when he knew he was about to travel for some more shooting he just couldnt do it.

No parent should ever outlive their child. Regardless of what anybody thinks of the Snyders professionally, I hope everybody can sympathise the awful situation they're having to deal with.

As Zack said "In the end it's just a movie". Just horrible that a mother and father have to bury their own daughter. I'm pleasantly surprised that most comments i've read on social media pages have been respectful.
Personally i'm a fan of his DC work and am pulling for the Snyder's to get through this as best they can.
