I still think a lot of the holdup is getting work visas for international talent selections. That along with background checks and passing Wellness testing. They already sold enough tickets for the Full Sail tapings and going to be airing the shows at a later date. Because Lord knows you're going to need that for JR and Lita.

Yeah, 19. Actually, 18, since another spot was filled at the recent NXT taping that they'll probably put up the video of sooner rather than later. There's a SHIMMER taping this weekend, so my first thought was whether or not they're waiting to see if some of their entrants pull up fit from that before announcing them, but Tessa Blanchard is doing those and she's been announced. The Video of the BelAir/Aliyah match has been uploaded to WWE's YouTube account, yeah. There's a second qualifier match other than Belair v Aliyah that happened at the same taping. That one is what makes it 18 spots remaining.

No new word on more names for the MYC but there will be new championship title belt presented to the winner.

To that point, seems almost certain that Kay Lee Ray will be in, too. I've seen her in just about every group pic of Evie or Nixon. I mean, Kay Lee Ray I can kind of get because it wasn't that long ago that she was doing bookings in England so that might be difficult to pull off but then if she was in the tournament, you'd think you'd tell people that by now. Would not be surprised if KLR was in it considering they seem to value women who've worked in Stardom like Viper, Tessa, Toni Storm (and obviously Kairi). That KLR works with Progress only strengthens her chances.

I'd expect them to upload the other qualifying match from the last taping either tomorrow or Friday as they announce the addition of: {Spoiler}Vanessa Borne aka Danielle Kamela

Every title except world heavyweight ones wind up on the preshow at some point. I figure since the CWC and WWE UK tourneys ended with the winner given a new title belt, WWE wants to stick to that format and give the MYC winner a belt. Got to wonder if they will try to make an all women show on the Network. The UK project stalled with the WOS reboot going into a no time given hiatus.

Demi Bennett from Australia who is rumoured to be in the tournament has got her WWE name - Rhea Ripley. I'm sure she will be in it. Looks like they're using nearly all of their developmental women who have not been regulars on NXT TV, and all of them are getting their names right now because of it.

Also, minor note: The former Andrea and Rosie Lottalove got her new WWE name changed from Sage Miller to Sage Beckett, possibly because they already had someone using 'Nick Miller.'

I GET it but it feels like they're adding stuff without building a storyline foundation to them. With this tourney, it feels like they'll be a lot more free agents before unless they sign Tessa Blanchard or others so you can't build around them but then you also need to find a way of doing the show and having the audience's interest. It just feels like 205 Live all over again and that's before the tournament starts.

It just feels like 205 Live all over again and that's before the tournament starts. The CWC was mostly freelancers. Hell, the planned dream match finals was cancelled because ZSJ & Kota didn't sign a contract. The WWE UK deal was people who all signed a temporary contract with the option to pick up full time. What I'm sensing is disappointment that WWE isn't stacking it with women standouts like some fantasy booking. They aren't repeating what happen in the CWC and hoping the people they are trying to sign will do it because of a strong run. Over half of the announced field are already WWE contracted talent. With a few exceptions, most freelancers had worked with WWE before via training camp or job duty. And like with all wrestling tourneys, they'll do storylines once the field is in place and it starts.

Me personally, that's not my issue. My issue is they need to have people in the thing and the taping is supposed to be next week. There's only been 13 announced people with one more being announced soon from the NXT taping. There hasn't been the same anticipation because they're leaving news so sporadically and they haven't given people a reason to be interested because of how slow and non-existent the news can be sometimes. They've had years (from the rumours about an all women's show to replace Velocity) to get this ready and it feels like they're bumbling before they even hit the starting gate, whether it's an issue with international visas or otherwise.

The problem is that Hunter is doing all his side projects so close to each other without fully planning it all out. This tourney actually got pushed back months earlier because of most of the planned talents were busy with other things and others needed work visas. They should had pushed it back another month but once they announced a date and start to sell tickets, WWE got to go through with it as planned.

They should just cut out the middle man and name her Daphne Splatt, because that's all I'm remembering her for.

Rhea Ripley being announced for the Mae is actual front page news in her hometown of Adelaide... Which probably says something about how quiet a city Adelaide (a state capital here, mind you) is when it's midweek.
