I really don't like Sane as a last name for Hojo. They could have easily called her just "Kairi" or "Kaori". If it was pronounced like Sa-Nay then I wouldn't have minded but Sane just sounds dumb imo. Not crazy about it. You already have a Zayn. She definitely pronounced it as 'Sane' in the video. Similarly, if she's still Kairi, why give someone the new name of Kai? |

I don't think it's that much of an issue for talents to have similar names. Like, none of us are actually confused and not able to tell the difference between Sami Zayn and Kairi Sane, right?

Unfortunately, Ivelisse Velez is entered in a SHINE tournament happening simultaneously to the Mae, so they can't bring up how she was trained by Savio Vega just like Zayn was. |

Well, let's bear in mind who's doing commentary for this thing. Of course, we do need a context for Sami Zayn to be brought up during a Kairi Sane match, so his name is on the brain. Unfortunately, Ivelisse Velez is entered in a SHINE tournament happening simultaneously to the Mae, so they can't bring up how she was trained by Savio Vega just like Zayn was. But these are unknown workers to most fans, so they'll be uncommon people beforehand- especially in Full Sail, a place that had Sami be beloved there. I'd dare go so far as say that Sane in the main puts Zayn plainly on the brain. |

I find it super weird that, considering the amount of pictures she's been seen in, that they haven't just announced that Nixon Newell's in this thing yet.
I know they have to pace announcements out but it feels like she's been in Florida since the end of the Cruiserweight classic at this point.

I find it super weird that, considering the amount of pictures she's been seen in, that they haven't just announced that Nixon Newell's in this thing yet. I know they have to pace announcements out but it feels like she's been in Florida since the end of the Cruiserweight classic at this point. She probably is, and I have to think Zhao Xia is a complete lock. |

There's a SHIMMER taping this weekend, so my first thought was whether or not they're waiting to see if some of their entrants pull up fit from that before announcing them, but Tessa Blanchard is doing those and she's been announced. |

I'd imagine Nixon will be announced either today or tomorrow, as NXT have house shows this weekend, and they announced Evie/Dakota the night she debuted on one of them. Would think the WWE UK Twitter will have it soon.

It actually feels a lot more thrown together and halfhearted than CWC. This isn't helped by the fact that the first episode arrives near the end of summer break, rather than being a fun summer event. Which seems strange again because, by all accounts, most of the major signings (Newell being a key one) were rumoured at least by March/April and the tournament was announced before WrestleMania. So you'd think there would be much firmer groundwork in place by now. |
