Had been pretty much a foregone conclusion for awhile anyway but nice to get them actually coming out and saying it.

That said I have absolutely no idea what you do for a sequel. Neither ending really allows for one and the story has basically been told already. Only thing I could really think of a sequel could do is focus on someone else who gets the same powers as Max in an unrelated plot and actually explain where the powers came from this time.

Yeah, there isn't much to move forward on with the original people as it was pretty much wrapped up with both endings.

Probably another self contained story in the same universe if I had to guess.

I adored the first game. I'm excited, but also worried I won't love the new cast as much as Max/Chloe/Warren etc.

Wonder what age range they're gonna go with. Quirky odd high school was one of the most endearing parts to me.

So turns out it's a prequel. Thaaaaat is kind of an interest killer to be honest, see zero point to doing that instead of just an unrelated story. Exact same viewpoint as I have on Red Dead Redemption.

This is a separate project from Dontnod's sequel. This is likely to keep the IP in people's memories until they're finished with Vampyr.

Uhhh.... How is this gonna work? Just a story of Max's move and Chloe's descent into punk thug and no time travel?

New characters, only it happens before the events of Arcadia Bay?

EDIT; Just saw the reveal trailer. Chloe's backstory with Rachel, a three episode series. I'll still play the hell out of it because I love the characters.

With regards to Red Dead Redemption, that game at least can make the argument of having a prequel due to all of the plot of Red Dead Redemption revolving around Marston trying to redeem himself of his past sins, and we'd get to see exactly what him and the rest of Dutch's gang had done, not to mention seeing an authentic version of the Old West in video gaming.

This one, though, not really seeing how this one will work. There's also the main underlying issue, which is the fact that the time-travel aspect of the game won't be in the game.
