This sucks. Erlich - no disrespect to Jared - might be the best character on the show, so it's gonna be a big loss.

I'm curious how they write him off now.

Yeah this is definitely a bummer. Silicon Valley is the first show in a long while that I follow week to week, so it's going to feel strange to not have such a major character on the show.

I was reading that he found out he was written out when he read the script for an episode. That seems a little odd. Miller seems pretty loaded with projects though, so maybe he was ready to move on anyway.

I'll miss the big lug, but hopefully his departure will finally break the "Hey we're going in a new directionnnnnow we're right back to square one in Erlich's house!!" cycle the narrative's been trapped in.

I do hate their plan of developing a solid show and then making the guys pivot 72 times to where you don't even know what they're working on anymore.
