I hated Far Cry 4. I really wanted to like it (it and Sunset Overdrive were my first two XB1 games) but I didn't like a single character and stopped playing pretty early on. Also riding elephants have me real life motion sickness.
I'll likely give it another shot with a new cast and location.

The idea of recruiting ordinary people and various animals (like dogs, bears, and etc.) to help you fight the bad guys is very appealing to me.

Liked almost every game in the series (3 was a bit dull) so I'm looking forward to this.
Hearing you can make your own character is an interesting story choice. I figured you'd have a set protagonist given the way the story feels like it'd play out. Nope. Can't wait to make the biggest brute and punch my way through the antagonists.

Besides 2 I enjoy the far cry games I just found 2 dull I'm in the middle of a 3 replay at the moment. Love that instalment. I actually gave up on 2 after getting about 25% through it, for some reason I can't put my finger on I just wasn't feeling it. I finished 2 but my main issues were the boring drab location & "meh" story/characters |

I hated 2 so much. The gameplay was fun and I loved the African setting, but I couldn't stand the bad guys respawning literally every 50 yards. So you have to stop and do the same damn fights over and over. Cause you can't really even drive past anyone, either they damage your car too much or send one after you, either way forcing you to stop, making traveling anywhere a slog. That and the missions were basic and boring from what I remember, idk I think I only played a 3 or 4 hours before I gave up.

I liked 3 even though the characters sucked. I still haven't played 2+ hours of 4 because it never grabbed me (and I think GTA V or Fallout 4 came out not too long after)
This one sounds cool.
