As much as I like the 1925 movie The play will always come first. A lot of great songs

Easily the musical. It still astonishes me that Frank Spencer himself played The Phantom.

What? No option for the Gerard Butler movie?
I voted for the play. Some of the songs are in my regular karaoke playlist.

While I've seen loads of versions of "Phantom" (Chaney version Best IMO) the musical is the first one that springs to mind though

I've never seen the musical, so it's Lon Chaney all the way for me.

Easily the musical. It still astonishes me that Frank Spencer himself played The Phantom. WHY AM I ONLY LEARNING THIS NOW In case you didn't know, he's also in WALL-E. The musical film that WALL-E keeps watching is Hello Dolly, of which Michael Crawford is one of the main stars.

I'm a movie buff. A tip of my hat (or mask, in this case) to the Man of 1000 Faces.
And I'm loving the 90s kid show references, by the way.

For me it's the Venetian hotel in Vegas, as (I dunno if they still do), but in every lobby/elevator when I stayed there, they played music from the show.
I also used to be in a high school drama club and that show was popular amongst us.
But for the sake of this poll, the play.
