Surprised Walking Dead Season 3 did not get much love here as I could not find a thread
Anyway, the game has now released episode 5 worldwide as of today so what did you guys think of the season as a whole.
Some hits and some misses but overall I think they hit the notes they needed to hit.
I'll give further thoughts but will probably put a spoiler tag on it for those who wait until all the episodes are finished to finally play it.

I started playing one that was an XB Gold free game of the month. 5 minutes into the game {Spoiler} My young girl character got mauled to death by a dog. And I'm pretty sure my available option to avoid the attack was to stab the dog. So that was too much for me to take and I quit playing. |

I would love to be playing this so I could continue this story(especially after my heartbreaking decision at the end of Season 2)...but I only have an Xbox 360 and I can't justify getting a newer system, because I hardly play games nowadays.

When they finally released the the games for the ps4 I didn't want to have another situation where I could not get my saves over because I had it on PS3 I have re played Season one and two on my Mac but sadly Season three is not available for Mac for some reason. Since you wouldn't be able to carry your saves from the old system I would recommend starting Season one and two from a PC and continue Season 3 from there or you can do the same strategy from your phone. |

I loved Walking Dead Season 1 and have it down as one of my best game experiences. Season 2 was good but I just felt the characters involved weren't as memorable and I missed that Lee/Clementine relationship. Looking forward to playing this when I get the chance.

The season pass for the PS4 was on sale all last week for $15 cash. Would of been a good time to get the full package if you did not have it yet
Probably won't get another sale on the season pass until a flash sale

Played Ep 5 of Season 3 last night. Overall I enjoyed it. I really liked playing as Javi and it was interesting dealing with the fresh dynamic his circumstances presented. I think the game is slightly hindered by having Clementine as a supporting character. Don't get me wrong I love Clem and I completely understand why they included her but it did lead to the situation of "Do you side with Clementine or X?", I'd always side with Clem, because of course I would! This was the first Walking Dead game where I feel like I got a 'good' ending and I didn't end it suffering an existential crises over how crappy a person I am. Would be interesting if they integrate her some way into a previous or current storyline {Spoiler} Just going off the ending of this one, it seems like it'll focus on Clem trying to find AJ. I'm not sure if they'll revisit Javi, maybe he could return as a supporting character so it's a role reversal of this one.
I don't think they'll ever interact fully with the comic as that'd mean they'd be impacting directly on the main story. Clementine interacting with Rick or Carl in the game and it never being acknowledged in the comic would be jarring in my eyes. Having a tangential connection like Glenn and Herschel in S1 or Jesus in S3 is the best way to go about it.
One way they could maybe tie things in is that when Clem finds where AJ is she finds it's under threat by the Whisperers. [/spoilers]

So just finished the game and I still dont understand why Telltale didnt just give us Clementine as the main character. Its a licence to print money...why do companys always do this?
Every single character except Clementine was dull, stupid and the storyline was predictable.
If we dont get Clementine in Season 4 I won´t even bother.
