He brings this up but for the start of the New 52 it is not a DC universe story and is pretty much entirely a Barry story.
Also brought up...why the hell is Zoom's outfit in Barry's ring?

Flashpoint was pretty good, It's just what followed was bad I will say that it's at least better than when the Flash TV show tried their take on it this season.

Eh I didn't care much for the Flashpoint story or consequences. Really convoluted story that required you to read everything just to know what the hell was going on as well as convince you to give a crap about the characters. The fact the show runners brought up the idea of the story for the show was annoying as well. Ended up causing people to have lofty and unrealistic ideas for how they'd handle it. I remember people theorizing they could change up all the shows and have the story go on for half a season. That wasn't going to happen and ended up leaving a bad taste in everyone's mouth when it only lasted a couple episodes with Flash containing the universe in its show.

That's farther than I made it before tapping out. I gave up after season 1 ended. Danielle Panebaker's horrible acting was just so bad I gave up on the show. As far as Flashpoint. I read it,and it was the first main universe thing from DC I had read in years. Enjoyed it. And loved the New 52 Animal Man,Swamp Thing,Stormwatch and Demon Knights series. Once those ended I went back to pretty much only reading Vertigo stuff from DC.

It was interesting in animated form, and I liked seeing Cyborg as a major player, but yeah, story had some problems. Still, I think I like it a little more than he did, but not by a lot.

No theme months, the continuation of three old stories, two of which I figured Linkara dropped simply because he didn't think they were worth it (Robocop vs. Terminator and Supes vs. Terminator), as well as the return of the always fun Tandy Computer Whiz Kids, a Patreon I'm genuinely interested in (considering his recent appearances on SHIELD, this is as good a time as any to spotlight Robbie Reyes) AND the start of Batman: Odyssey? I know I'm in. Could do without Babylon 5, just don't care enough about the franchise, or The Star Wars ,doesn't really seem bad, just different from what we'd expect Star Wars to be. Anybody know what Delicious in Dungeon is? Please tell me it's not another JRPG. Sitting through his reviews of those are SO painful.

Anybody know what Delicious in Dungeon is? Please tell me it's not another JRPG. Sitting through his reviews of those are SO painful. It's a seinen manga. Basically a fantasy comedy about a guy who goes through a dungeon to save his sister from being digested by a red dragon and cooks the monsters he kills to live, with all the shenanigans that come from it. Basically "Comedy D&D feat. Cooking, The Manga".

In concept, I don't hate Flashpoint. In fact, I like a lot of the ideas and aspects of the Flashpoint storyline. Some of the side comics for this were genuinely good and enjoyable reads.
But it has three glaring issues for me. Barry, I still feel like he shouldn't be alive and dislike that he is, but I'd have been able to tolerate it if he wasn't being the main featured Flash. Two, Wally, what they did to Wally through this storyline annoys me, because for all intents and purposes he's my Flash as far as I'm concerned and I feel like overall a more solid character than Barry that didn't deserve the treatment he's gotten from DC.
Three, the reboot. Still don't like it. Still believe it did more harm than good.
