To prepare yourself for Wonder Woman, here's one of the three reasons why Hollywood executives are reluctant to release a superheroine-led movie:
In the executives' minds, it's not because it's a poorly-made movie, but because they thought superheroine-led movies won't sell tickets.

You know what's funny? If these film rights had been optioned to another studio rather than being made by DC's parent company, Warner could have sued them. That's how little this has to do with the intellectual property.

I only saw like half the movie ages ago but did she literally have the powers of a cat? Like, in the comics she was just like Batman in that she was a normal human being in a costume, albeit very athletic and dangerous?

It was kind of like what they established in Batman Returns turned up to 11. (as in, Michelle Pfeiffer's version seemed to have SOME powers, particularly her ability to survive death...but mostly she too took being a cat literally, mostly) And TBF, they did kind of admit that Selina Kyle existed in this universe, but....no. Still the absolute worst. |
