I know the usual thing to do here is to not jump to conclusions but, the shoe fits too well in regards to M.O.
I just hope those that have transported to hospitals will be okay.

there aren't words anymore. So sad how commonplace these incidents are becoming. We've been through worse. During the Troubles, terrorist attacks were even more frequent. In May 1981 alone for example there were 9 IRA attacks killing 10 soldiers and police officers.

I can't even imagine how English people are feeling right now with this string of attacks so close to one-another. Stay strong, England. Don't know what else to say.

Most of you know the rules here. We don't want to close this thread like we did with Manchester because people didn't understand them.
Let's turn away from the direction this thread is going in.

Whatever point you're trying to prove, it's lost the moment you start killing people for it.

And the cycle will continue. Nothing will ever change, people will hashtag prayers, make heart gestures with their hands and say empty platitudes like "we will not be defeated" or "we will be strong"...and everything will get back to normal until the next incident shortly after I don't think the western world wants war here, these guys are getting too dangerous to ignore.

Hopefully this one can stay open, as the Manchester one was locked pretty much straight away. Someone on my Facebook was nearby and says he saw someone who'd been stabbed being taken into the Shard. There seems to be a second incident at Borough Market now, I'm not familiar with this part of London so not sure how close it is. They're literally next to each other. I seem to have a knack of missing these. The Westminster Bridge one, I was based in St Thomas' Hospital the other side of the river. This one, well, my main site is Guy's Hospital which is 30 seconds from there. Literally 24 hours before it happened, I'd been walking that street drunk after karaoke with my wife and work colleagues. I'll try to stay non political here, but with these attacks, certain decisions made about policing levels are coming back to haunt us, I fully expect these guys to have been known, but there weren't enough people to properly investigate, as it seems happened in Manchester. Monday morning, I'm going back, walking those same streets without a second's hesitation. They can attack, they can kill, but they'll not change life here. It's a cliche, but we're just gonna get on with it.

Something should be done. But can it? That's all I have to say.

The main thing that should be done is for people to continue to live their lives as they would normally do, and let the police and intelligence services do their work and try to prevent as many criminal acts like this as possible. They can't prevent them all, but no one can. The point is to never allow terrorists to do what they set out to do, disrupt normal life, create paranoia, and turn people against each other.

I agree with everything Hit Girl has said. The concert in Manchester tonight is a great way of showing that we will carry on living our lives the way we love to.

We will carry on as normal.. as evidenced by constant jokes on twitter throughout the concert, my favourite being Katy Perry coming out looking like Ric Flair.

When London buses got bombed in 2005 people were there at the stops the next day. We're British, carrying on in the face of adversity is what we do.

Speaking of Manchester, it's great seeing Liam Gallagher performing in his home town. And possibly not drunk or coked up!

I expect there will be more of this for the next few months. The U.K., France, and Germany are all lined up for elections and influencing how people vote is the kind of thing these sort of radicals dream of, re. The train bombings in Spain in the early 2000's.

That was a sensational concert in Manchester. Beautiful tribute to those lost in the last two weeks. I cannot give enough praise and respect to Ariana Grande. She's handled an unthinkable tragedy with great care, compassion and sensitivity.
