Is there anything in that country that isn't going to shit right now? Please explain what you mean. I've read economic predictions that the Philippines is one of several countries expected to lead the global economy in the future. This group of countries is referred to by economists as N-11, or 'The Next 11.'

Where the police are openly killing drug dealers and users and their president is openly encouraging vigilante attacks to kill drug dealers and users.

I had no idea drugs were such a big thing in the Philippines. I mean, the country is known for being undeveloped and having mass poverty (too many people having way too many kids they can't afford to raise), so who exactly has money to buy the drugs within the Philippines, other than perhaps tourists? Are guns legal for civilians to own in the Philippines? I'd be surprised if they were. The situation you described makes the country sound a bit like Mexico, where the drug cartels are completely out of control. However, law-abiding citizens are forbidden from owning guns in Mexico, so they're completely defenseless when gangs engage in open warfare on the streets. Even Mexico's own police don't have the firepower to effectively stand up to the Mexican drug cartels.

Poverty often creates drug users to escape the feeling of poverty and drug dealers with a similar goal to escape poverty. I think the biggest problem is meth and heroin which are both cheap drugs but highly addictive. Plus the amount of tourists that come to the country and to get high on drugs. That's the thing that nearly 200K dealers voluntarily turned themselves in to avoid executions nearly 1.5 million users did the same thing and 5000 casualties vs. 112 police casualties. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philippine_Drug_War?wprov=sfla1I don't want us to talk more openly on the forum because this is getting into political territory and I don't want to get banned by breaking the rules. But you know how to reach me buddy.
