First Date Transport

So I met a girl online wanna just take it at my pace I drive and the whole point I got a car was this situations but after having my license for awhile I realised it was a pain in the ass going for a drink(or half a drink) and then parking up somewhere. Planning is a bit of issue for me anymore but do you think if I ask her to meet me somewhere get the train etc it would be ok and let her know I drive anyway. I've done it a few times with others and it went ok I just would feel more comfortable with a few drinks and not have to worry about my car.

Is your first date just going to be about drinking? Like I had first dates where it's a drink or two or a drink and dinner or getting shit faced in a club/strippers/house party/local neighborhood pub. Figure out with your date what kind of date this is and don't drink and drive. If you want to drink even after the date than drink.

I'm really confused by this. Are you that self conscious using public transport? Are you expecting to her drink a more than few? If you are is it because she said that or are you just assuming?

I'm gleaning access to his car is more important than whatever transpires on the date, also booze is more important than her too.

I don't know if I've completely understood your post, but I think you're worried she's going to judge you for using public transport? I would just get the train, have a couple of drinks if that's what you want to do, and don't worry about it. If she starts questioning you about your car/job/prospects etc on date #1, it's a bad sign anyway!

Now for the serious answer. Go ahead and have 1 ONE UNO UN A SINGLE sensible drink IE a beer or cocktail. Don't get a pint of Long Island Iced Tea. Or just lie and say your car is broken and use and uber or lyft.

Well not knowing the public transport situation in your area but even then most online dates I set up we both drove to a location to meet or it was in NYC so the subway and taxis can take you anywhere. Hell I think most girls would want to come in feeling safe with the out of them being able to leave on their own. Of course the days of ride sharing its much easier to do that even if you rode together.

Through my experiences most girls have to like you if you want her in your car or to get into her car. Seriously it's a date not rocket science. Be yourself and if she likes you great, if not than great, if you don't like her great. It's not complicated.

In my experience, most first dates involve agreeing to meet up somewhere, with each person independently arranging their own transport. As long as you are capable of arriving to the planned destination in a reasonable time frame (and, of course, that this has all been plainly laid out ahead of time), there should be no reason why she'd be upset with you over it.

Take the train/bus/uber whatever your plan besides driving is. If it goes well and she wants to spend more time with you're good. If it turns out that she's a massive bitch you're still good and don't have to give her a ride home. When you get completely drunk you're good.

Meet her there. Take the train. Then you will know if she likes you or not if she offers to drive you home.

But don't get drunk unless getting drunk is specifically what she wants to do for the evening. You can always get shit faced by yourself or with your boys after the date is over.
