Why must loud people always inflict themselves upon others?

Here I am, trying to relax a bit after a hard day's work before another hard day's work, but nope! All evening long and presumably quite a bit through the night, there's this weird thing going on with an announcer whose audio setup is of course absurdly loud because it'd be a shame if people who don't want to participate didn't get to be annoyed by it, wouldn't it? So I get to hear him shriek, even with my windows closed and a video running while all I want to do is YouTube & chill. And of course there's also a crowd wailing like apes.
And it'd be one thing if stuff like that were an isolated event. But when it's not officially sanctioned events like this, it's douchebags blasting shitty rap through their cars' rolled down windows, or drunk people announcing their drunkenness to random passers-by because again, what's the point of being loud if you don't impose it to everyone around you to announce to the entire world just how much of a tool you are?
Just... just why? Look, it's one thing to enjoy loudness. Hell, my favourite music genre is Metal, it's made to be played loud. I often play such songs for my own amusement, but I do it with headphones, because I know that not everyone might enjoy the dulcet tones of Abbath. And I enjoy the odd concert with music loud enough to make your ears ring but you know what? When I go to stuff like that, it's always in places designed specifically so that people can be as loud as they want without bothering people who don't share their tastes. Hell, when we were freaking 16, my friends and I pooled money together so we could rent an assembly hall for a Halloween party. We made sure it was a soundproofed place, away from habitations, just so we knew we wouldn't be annoying anyone and could enjoy ourselves. Again, we did that when we were 16. And every time we held a party, we always made sure only we could hear ourselves. There is no excuse. Being an obnoxiously loud shit is a choice, a culture.
What I don't get is some people being incapable of enjoying their stuff without forcing it on everyone else. Some of them even wear it as a badge of pride. We are being an annoyance the world around us! Admire us! Go to work early? F*** you, you're staying up whether you like it or not. Have young children who have to go to bed early? F*** them, they're staying up whether they like it or not. Just think you should be allowed to enjoy some peace and quiet when you're in your own house? How f***ing dare you? Shut up and enjoy the mandatory fun.
Do these people just not have the brain power to even conceive that other people might not be into that? Do they just not care as long as they get what they want? Do they think that being loud is somehow an achievement to be proud of? Which brand of unfathomable stupidity are we talking about? And of course, if you have the audacity to complain, or to suggest that maybe, just maybe we could try and find some other way to celebrate than being loud, or to ask to at the very least respect people who don't want to partake and leave them be, you're the one being an asshole because how dare you spoil the fun of people who incapable of expressing themselves without being a nuisance to everyone else?
All I want is a bit of rest when I'm in the privacy of my home. I don't think I'm being unreasonable.
