 Didn't expect this wackadoodle to go nuts to that extent.   Just in general, Powell and Pressburger made some astonishing movies, ones that were often very dark for their time. |

Maybe my favorite film of theirs. The Red Shoes is more dazzling but Deborah Kerr's performance here is one for the ages.

Maybe my favorite film of theirs. The Red Shoes is more dazzling but Deborah Kerr's performance here is one for the ages. Lots of fantastic things in the film, including seeing Sabu and why he was a big deal. The Red Shoes is stunning, yeah. |
