Not me but everyone seems to think any reggae song is Bob Marley.
All UB40 songs are actually Marley.

I thought the song "Bad Girlfriend" was a Nickleback song forever, right up until I happened the see Theory of a Dead Man live. When they went into the song, me and my friend looked at each other and simultaneously said "I thought this was Nickleback!" I hate both of those bands. I remember the first time I heard Theory of a Deadman, someone told me they were signed to Chad Kroeger's record label. I was like "Why would dude sign a band that sounds exactly like his own band?!"

I thought Long Cool Woman by The Hollies was by CCR. This was the one I was going to mention. I thought this for the longest time.

"True Faith" by New Order.....until a year or two ago, I thought it was by Depeche Mode.

I thought Long Cool Woman by The Hollies was by CCR. Not a shock. They were actually trying to write a CCR-style song. My mom is convinced that "Walk of Life" by Dire Straits is by Bruce Springsteen. She hates Springsteen, but loves that song.

I remember I used to think Quiet Riot's cover of Cum On Feel The Noize was AC/DC due to the lead singer's voice.

I thought Triple H sung his "The Game" theme when I was a kid.

On the internet literally any parody or even comedic sounding song is by Weird Al. I must be old but getting anything STP confused with Nirvana.... Eh? Because Nirvana is the only rock band that existed or mattered in that time frame. Or something. Well it's true! 11: not actually true.

How in the hell do people still think "Don't Worry, Be Happy" is a Bob Marley song? First of all Marley and McFerrin sound nothing alike. And most importantly Bob Marley was dead for 7 years when that song came out. I've not heard of this-someone just wasn't paying attention-kinda like I have seen "Drift Away" by Dobie Gray credited to the Doobie Brothers and of course they also thought the name was "I want to get lost in your rock and roll"

I used to think it was Jimmy Buffet that sang Escape (The Pina Colada Song) and not Rupert Holmes. I guess since Jimmy did Margaritaville I just assumed he had a whole fruit flavored alcoholic beverage motif thing going on.
