I have to put more work than I'd like to do making my Amazon fire stick to work. I have to unplug/reboot my stick every couple weeks because some of my apps will stop working. However, everything will be working fine and my stick just reboots itself. I want to know if I should push through and look up solutions online or should I just buy a new one?

I suggest buying a Fire TV box. I've literally only had to boot it once or twice in since August. I read a ton of reviews for the stick and the box, and seemingly the box is the way to go. I've been very happy with it so far.

Do you unplug the stick and/or turn off the TV at the mains a lot? Just wondering because I keep mine plugged into the TV 24/7 so it's always on (or on standby) and I've never had any issues.

I had both before getting smart tvs and got rid of the sticks. They overheated and needed rebooted often. The box has only needed it once or twice. I still have it on the one tv in the house that isnt a smart tv.
The box is better and much cheaper now than when I bought it a few years ago.
