Okay how many of you watched this first before seeing it in Muppets Take Manhattan? Cause I honestly only watched this when my kid sister would get it on VHS from our local store and only when I started on a Muppets kick I watched the movies that I hadn't seen. I only saw Muppet Treasure Island and Muppets from Space before watching the original movies.....I do regret not seeing them in order when I was younger.

I remember watching this show all the time as a child. My other exposure to the Muppets was watching reruns of The Muppet Show on Nick, as well as some of the movies like The Muppet Movie.

I knew the characters like this before I saw the adult form. Imagine my disappointment when there was no adult Skeeter.
I actually thought this was a pretty well written show. I considered this the pinnacle of the characters overall. The movies were good to okay as well, but I never liked The Muppet Show. Ironically, I thought the Land of Gorch was funnier than The Muppet Show.

I grew up seeing the Muppet Show each week. So when Muppet Babies started I made sure to watch it every week. I even saw 2 of the 3 aired episodes of Muppet Babies and Lil Monsters.
Sucks that odds are we will never get Muppet Babies on legit dvd or even in reruns.

loved this show as a kid! bought a bootleg of a few episodes at a con a few years ago and I will enjoy it.
I love the one episode where they make believe they are going to a movie studio and theres a line of "they say the movie cameras make you look older" and when you see the movie they made its full on muppet Fozzie and Kermit.

Loved this show, my sister and I would always wait for the 'Go Bye-Bye!' at the end. Baby Animal was adorable, am I wrong?

I grew up with this show, and it was great! I recently re-watched the show, and the oldest episodes have a very timeless quality to them. The later episodes (around the time Bean Bunny joined the show) were weaker, but over all, Muppet Babies was awesome!
Favorite bit: The babies go into the attic to try to find Nanny's treasure. They believe they find it and give it (a "gold coin") to her.
Nanny: Oh kids! I...I don't know what to say!
Fozzie: Just do what I do, Nanny, and just say something stupid!

Kinda watched this religiously when I was a kid. Would love to see it on DVD, alas all those closet "cameos" will probably prevent a clean transfer from memories to DVD.... I knew the characters like this before I saw the adult form. Imagine my disappointment when there was no adult Skeeter. BOOM! Studios actually answered those prayers several years ago in one of Roger Landridge's Muppets graphic novels (Family Reunion).

Back to a brighter and far less disturbing subject, I grew up on the Muppet Babies and was one of my favorite shows growing up. While I had seen a few of the original episodes of the Muppet Show beforehand, Muppet Babies was what introduced me to the characters and got me into them. I have never revisited the show, maybe I will have to do that at some point.

Yes it seems impossible outside of Lucasfilm-or-Marvel-heavy episodes...but didn't '66 Batman have lots of rights issues to clear? They COULD do it if they wanted to. But...Disney is iffy about how marketable the Muppets are. The cancellation of the ABC show can't help.

The Muppets ABC show was just hitting its stride. Still makes me angry that they cancelled it.

Sure if you look around you can find VHS to DVD bootlegs, but it would be nice to have legit releases.

Yeah, one episode used footage from Ghostbusters (not sure if the Real Ghostbusters cartoon had debuted yet when this episode aired), and one of the episodes from the final season used NES sound effects (though that might be easier to clear, the Batman:TAS ep "If You're So Smart, Why Arent You Rich" also used Super Mario Bros. sound effects, which was able to be retained for the DVD release).

I got into the Muppets through Muppet Babies. It was hard to get used to Gonzo not fiendin' for Mrs. Piggy in other Muppets stuff.
