www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIBiAiEXQfg (Language Warning) <== Vince Russo addresses accusations of being all kinds of terrible things. I listened to this rant in it's entirety because I wanted to see Russo's perspective on things and do feel he is unfairly judged. The guy comes across as someone who isn't politically correct and may make offensive jokes now and again. I'm sure he is at a point now where if he was those things people accuse him of being, it wouldn't really benefit him not to embrace it now that accessibility to that audience is more prevalent than other time periods. He isn't in a position like a Hogan where being open about being racist would cost millions. Russo brings up very good points, a little old school, but makes good points here and there. I don't know the person personally, but neither do any of us unless there's something I don't know. I just find a lot of these accusations are based on his booking which worked for the time or are based on taking statements which are clearly tongue and cheek as literal. That Jinder curry comment was clearly a joke, but I understand that there is much more sensitivity nowadays. Anyway, I won't be joining the Russo hate train anytime soon, especially when I got to hear his side. I can kind of relate to being mislabeled and it's a really shitty way of dismissing people you don't like or disagree with. Just my opinion.

It's not being mislabeled, is that there's actually a deposition with Kevin Sullivan testifying under oath that Vince Russo refer to the black wrestlers in the company using the slur moolions. It's not being mislabeled when Russo calls all wrestling fans gay, then in a subsequent video instead of apologizing he said that gay people are not normal. Another pearl of wisdom from Russo was that women are not fit to lead. I'm judging the man with his own words, nobody wrote it for him, he said exactly what he meant. I don't give a f*** about his booking, I judge him by his own hateful quotes. One thing is not being politically correct, another completely different thing is making homophobic and racist comments then doubling down on them. It's not single instances either, Russo is a repeated offender.

Don't really want to argue about it as I haven't been presented with these stories. All I based my opinion on was the video where he seemed sincere. Thanks for clarifying why people despise the guy so much. It's honestly something I've never understood.

So I decided to watch this to see how it'd go... He seems to believe that homophobia is an all or nothing thing, either frothing at the mouth hatred or total innocence, even as he repeats his really casual-homophobia-at-a-minimum statements in an attempt to exonerate himself then assures us he totally had gay friends that he didn't actually know were gay/employs 'a transgender' before going on about 'snowflakes'. Boy oh boy.
(Also, that he thinks that him insulting 'marks' - y'know, the paying customers - and having some kind of feud with the team when he doesn't even know the Bucks' names will make a good 'storyline' compared to the intricacy of the Omega/Cody saga on Being The Elite?)

Everytime Russo tries to explain why he's not a hateful bigot it backfires, he should shut the f*** up. Lol what feud? Cody banned Russo feud is over. Cody doesn't think about the creep but it ruined Russo's week.

This is gold for Russo I’m pretty sure he’s still got a daily podcast and he’s admitted he just says stuff to say stuff just to create content and people talking about him is good no matter how big of an idiot he looks so to have guys that are so hot right now in the business even acknowledging his existence is a win for him in his mind.I’d also like to add he’s an idiot.

The average human is alive for 82 years.
Why anyone would waste even a few seconds of what precious little time we have on Earth to voluntarily listen to more of what Vince Russo has to say is beyond me.

Did someone do a Bro count in his latest rant? At this point he must be trolling us all with the Bro thing ...
We can go back and forth on the guy but Russo and Bischoff inside the ring were cream of the crop heels, both were way better than 95% of the heel roster. They were stirring crap storyline wise whenever they popped up on the camera. In my opinion top 3 authority figures to this day are in this order 1. Bischoff 2. McMahon 3. Russo

So how long will it take for Russo to try and take credit for All In selling out? Haha the f***er keeps talking about All In despite getting banned. He actually claimed that selling ten thousand tickets isnt impressive what a moron. He's also yelling that he's not a homophobe despite calling all wrestling fans gay bro. If he was booked on the show, he would have given it all the credit in the world. But he's not and he is a bitter man. There is a reason no one will work with him.

Russo I always felt Vince Russo was one of the worst authority figure characters of all time. He had none of the presence or charisma that Vince McMahon or even Eric Bischoff had. I remember someone once saying that Vince McMahon always felt like a corrupt Fortune 500 CEO while Russo felt like the Assistant Night Manager at a Convenience Store on a power trip. WCW fans were usually apathetic about his appearances just waiting for him to finish whatever he was doing so the show could start again. I've seen fans more interested in thing that guys like Jack Tunney and Stanley Blackburn were gonna say.

For what it's worth, according to Bruce Prichard, Russo pitched to be an onscreen character in the wwf as Vic Venom. The segment is in YouTube if you want to check it out, well apparently Vince said it was the worst thing he ever saw in his life.
