He wanted to bring in the real stars this time That wasn't gonna work. What Russo wanted would've f***ed months of storylines. The nWo already invaded there wasn't a way to revert time. My impression is that Russo pitched an Invasion but wasn't aware of the past invasion that was booked a year before. Russo didn't kept with the wwe product and that was what f***ed him. Yeah, like, even if he did get his way, Hogan, Nash, Hall, and some others of note like Booker T and DDP had already debuted, latter two not as main eventers (well, Booker T sorta was a grey area). I dunno when Goldberg would have been available, I guess Steiner may have been available but he had the broken foot that ultimately helped contribute to his WWE run underperforming, so that'd have still been an issue even if you did have him as your major invasion guy. It's bad when you could make a legitimate argument that Braden Walker had prepared more for his WWE run than Russo did for this stint.

Vince Russo had no idea of what happened in the wwe in 2001 and 2002. He didn't even know which current characters or storylines the wwe was producing. Also would he be taken seriously pitching stuff for the nWo when it had already failed? Pitching stuff for Scott Hall who was just fired? It's like if I went to a job interview and tried to bullshit my way around it. Russo lost a major opportunity there.

Vince Russo talking about the destruction of suspension of disbelief is like if Stan Lee talked about if Superheroes focused too much on their non-superhero lives.
I mean, Stan Lee wouldn't because he's not Vince Russo.

"Stan, you actually have no control in Marvel anymore. Also, Cyclops is dead." "I'm not Stan, I'm actually....*takes off disguise* VINCE RUSSO, BRO!" "....ok. Security will escort you out." "...Aww bro"

Yes, moves into other moves just make it absurd to try and take wrestling seriously. Nothing like if, say, a bunch of grown men fought over a pinata or a wrestling company arranged for two dudes to throw down in the middle of a cemetery hitting each other with headstones. That's just real life.

He's swerving us right? Because he's the last motherf***er to criticize ANYTHING about wrestling.

The Young Bucks got in a pretty fantastic burn during that whole thing too EDIT: I just saw that was already mentioned at the very end of the OP and apologize for my reading comprehension. It was worth it in the replies. A girl that works for Russo tried to defend him and Matt completely owned her, then the rest is just pics of Booker T holding a picture of Scott Hall and Russo as champion.

She was the one who was like "Well, what have YOU done in your careers?" right? Because if there's any way to show you're in your own wrestling bubble...
