Smith Hart, the eldest brother of Bret and the late great Owen Hart has sadly passed away aged 68 following a battle with terminal prostate cancer in recent months. Smith was recently moved into Hospice care to live out the remainder of his life in comfort.

He was trained in the infamous Hart Dungeon and spent the majority of his career performing for Stampede Wrestling and the World Wrestling Council. He even once teamed up with Bret Hart to capture the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Championships.

Coincidentally today is Bret Hart's 60th Birthday.

Prostate cancer is a bitch; I would never wish that on my worst enemy.
As crazy as the stories are about him, he was still a brother, father, uncle and friend to many. For them, my sympathies and condolences.

That's too bad. I met Smith a couple of times over the years at show. Never really talked to him much, but I was introduced and he was perfectly friendly.

Sucks it had to happen on Bret's birthday, that's a real bummer.

My thoughts are with the Hart family, and I hope that he had plenty of time to get all of his affairs in order and say his goodbyes.

Crazy to think Bret Hart is 60, and Owen Hart was only 34 when he died, almost half of Bret's life. I am also 34 this year so again it always crazy to look at it like that
