I keep saying it. One of WWE's biggest issues is that too many of their faces are either comedy goofballs, idiots that are impossible to take serious or straight up losers that choke when the pressure is on. Funny how all 3 of these apply to Dolph Ziggler's face run. |

Just a heads up: Alvarez is on the latest episode of Killing the Town with Lance Storm and Don Callis to talk about this very rant and expand on the topic. It's worth a listen. The "pinpoint the face turn" game on AJ & Charlotte is spot-on. Exactly why is Charlotte supposedly a babyface now? Because Becky trusts her, or is it just to stick it to the Welcoming Committee? (Not exactly Bob Backlund telling the fans about Hulk Hogan "HE'S A GOOD MAN! HE'S CHANGED HIS WAYS!") Shit, throw me something here. Give me a reason, otherwise I've got my guard up expecting a "turn". Did Rollins ever cut a promo on why he's a good guy? I don't remember if he did. They don't do that anymore. Make some frickin' amends for your sordid past, for Pete's sake! Give me a reason to LIKE you! You've been a prick, tell me why I should believe you! Bryan brought up Dick Murdoch, and how he was two completely different guys depending on face or heel mode. Good guy Murdoch was a fun, likeable person. Heel Murdoch was a miserable sonuvabitch. Do that. Don't change your wrestling, change your character. |
