It's not so much a worse dub, but it's so weird hearing Break The Walls Down as Chris Jericho comes out on WCW Monday Nitro. It just doesn't feel right. Yeah, I really hate that one. I know his theme was a lawsuit magnet, but just put any other generic song there (or his previous theme). Using Break The Walls Down just seems like it's messing with history and WWE-izing it.

On the bright side, they at least have the decency to use the beta version of the theme, so it only mostly feels like I am being jolted into watching a 1999 Raw is War all of the sudden.

Dusty Rhodes getting the theme to the UK "Wheel of Fortune". Oh my God, where's this? I must see it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9J8SdTuna4This is from the 2005 WrestleMania Anthology DVD set (and also from the 2009 Savage DVD because all the WrestleMania matches on it where cut/pasted from the 2005 edits). The Rumble, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series sets used the real music, as did the 2006 DVD about Dusty. WWE Network also uses Dusty's real music. The UK WoF theme is dubbed into WrestleMania IV for Vanna White's entrance, though, just as it was on DVD.

Well, if you were going to give Vanna a theme, might as well be Wheel of Fortune, even if it is the UK theme.

Also, on the WWE 24/7 cuts, DDP had his theme and so did Chris Jericho. Why couldn't they work it out for the Network Launch?

at the moment I'm working my way through the NWO storyline so I'm at the end of 96 and I'm wondering is Jericho's music in 96 dubbed, and when does he get the Pearl Jam rip off tune?

There's two big ones for me - losing Alan Parsons Project's Sirius for Ricky Steamboat's WWF run and losing the theme music to Jesus Christ Superstar for Billy Graham and Don Muraco. Obviously, HUGE rights issues, but love the music.

Nah, the '96 theme should be legit. Unfortunately he never gets the Pearl Jam ripoff on the Network, it's dubbed over with the 1st version of Break The Walls Down. However there is a few times it slips through the cracks, sometimes because you can hear it in the background and another time (I think it was Fall Brawl '98) they were showing a replay from Nitro and they forgot to edit out the song.

His first theme song reminds me of the Pretenders song Don't get me wrong. everytime I hear it start up I think is Chrissie Hyde coming out?

Dusty Rhodes getting the theme to the UK "Wheel of Fortune". John Leslie would make a great wrestling character

Because billionaire McMahon is a cheapass. WWE might own DDP's theme via their purchase of WCW, and Jericho's was just a stock track from a music library. The reason WWE quit using them is because they sound too much like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Even Flow" for WWE legal's tastes.

Yep. Trying to watch WCW from 1997-1998 is awful because DDP was such a huge part of the show, and his music always created such an energy. It's completely killed by the dubbing.
