Was hoping Jessica Havok would appear to do a job in the first round.

I'm so salty that they fed Tessa Blanchard to Kairi on the 1st round. I'm surprised as well. I figured name factor would at least get Blanchard to the second round There goes marti belle, her fans was hoping for wwe sign but sure don't look that way Eh depends on where they're going with all of this. If they're truly intending on doing things like expanding the female rosters and doing things like Rumbles with them, or even an all-woman show on the Network (wouldn't be surprised), they could very well pick up a large part of the participants.

Izzy is there! Guess she didn't get picked to compete, unless she's an alternate or something.

Izzy will turn heel by the end of the tapings and become Serena Deeb's disciple.

Only surprise so far is KLR going out first round, maybe she has booking commitments that she didn't want to/was unable to break which interfered with the second round. Santana getting bounced in the first round is a bit of a shock. I thought she'd at least win one match.

I just hope we don't get a CWC situation and it be a finals that comes out of left field. TJP and Gran (something something I forgot how to spell the last part of his name lol). Was so underwhelming consider who was in it. Ibushi and Sabre Jr not signing must of thrown things off pretty badly.

Damn, did any of the more physically imposing girls win?
Was hoping Gabert or Beckett would advance, they need some more bruisers.

JR on his podcast said they're taping up until the quarter finals this week, with the semi finals and final in Las Vegas on September 12th.
Looking through the winners, you can make solid arguments for all of them being there. Personally I'd have put Kay Lee Ray through instead of Lacey Evans, but I can see WWE wanting to tell Lacey's story longer, where KLR I'd established enough to not be hurt by this. Very surprised though seeing the ICW Champion get bounced, with someone else from ICW, as well as the PROGRESS Champion, making it through.

Kairi needs to win this.
Hope they don't go for the surprise route again and let the best wrestler win.

I am somewhat intrigued at the possibility of a Dollhouse reunion in a post-Mae Young Classic women's division.

Hey at least the luck of the draw shows in the tourney. It shows in any tourney. No ones taking away from Blanchard or KLR, but they drew two of the more experienced girls in the Tourney.
You gotta have some must watch round one matches, and those two will be just that. Just hope people don't start shitting on Sugehit or Sane because of that.
And if your favorite is knocked out and that is your reason to not even watch, then that's sad imo, because there are 31 other great performers in this tourney that are I think gonna tear the house down.

She drew Sugehit, who they established as one of the toughest competitors in the tournament. It was basically something to be sold as "What could be happening in the final round is happening round one" in my eyes.

I think Kairi goes all the way with this one. I don't know the bracket, but I'm going to guess she will meet Bayzsler in the final.
I remember with the CWC, everyone thought it was a foregone conclusion that Ibushi and ZSJ were going to meet in the final. The only difference is that Kairi is signed (right?) whereas Ibushi and ZSJ held out and never actually signed. I also think that a Kairi vs Asuka match may just be on the horizon after Kairi takes the tournament. The creative team would be stupid not to do it before Asuka gets called up.
