Nice trade for the 49ers getting a two time super bowl winning QB for only a 2nd rounder.

Edit: This sucks for Kirk Cousins who just lost a lot of leverage He lost his most obvious suitor but let's see what else is there. Chargers - Who know what is left for Rivers? If he retires or a team that feels they are a QB away from something is interested I could see them trading Rivers and making a play for him. Not likely but possible. Broncos - More likely than most would think I'd say. Trevor is fast out of popularity, Brock is a wash and Paxton is a question. Arizona - Again, who knows how long Carson will be around. Jacksonville - Depends on the Bortles situation. Indy - Depending on the health of Luck which is a complete question mark. They have Jacoby for a few more years but do they think he's the guy? Browns - Guess it all depends on the front office. NYJ - Again I'd say it depends on the front office. Pats - Never say never only because they always seem to take us by surprise. Tom and Bill ride off into the sunset and someone else takes over with him? Giants - Who knows how long Eli wants to put up with that team? A sudden retirement and they are in the hunt. Redskins - Obvious. There's no shortage of teams that want him. But who would pay him? Broncos and Jags have too much money invested in the defende to be able to afford to go out and get a QB on the free market. He's not dumb enough to go to the Browns or maybe even the Jets. Unless Luck retires outright the Colts wouldn't be able to afford Cousins at market value. As long as Brady doesn't get hurt he should be back next year or this trade doesn't happen; he's too much a team player not to have at least informed the team at this point of the year he's interested in retirement. That leaves Steelers, Giants, Chargers, and the Cardinals, all depending on if their starting QB retires. Of the four, Palmer is probably the most likely to retire and Rivers the least but who knows. If I were a betting man, Arizona blows everything up this year and starts a new era with a big free agent landing, but that's just me

This Zeke Elliot thing won't end until they get down to the People's Court, with the NFL and NFLPA being interviewed by Doug Lewellyn

Yeah, now Cousins only has the Browns to go to other than the Redskins..........unless Jimmy G sucks. history has shown that the odds are he will, every time New England has traded their backup who looks like he could be a great starter they've flopped hard I think "flopping hard" is a bit unfair to Matt Cassel. He had a couple of good years in Kansas City.

Yea, on the Dolphins end I don't like this trade The dude did have multiple 200 yard games last year and I don't believe he was due a contract for a year or two I understand running backs come and go but he's still young

Don't the Eagles already have LeBlount? I guess you can never have too many fresh legs in this league but this is a weird move on the surface. Eagles clearly think this is their year to compete for a title though.

Cousins would be eaten alive by the NY Media the moment he throws a pick or a pick six. I think he's comfortable in Washington's system, and I don't think at age 30, he'll want to go to a new team and learn an entirely different system.
Personally, all the teams who need a QB should look at Alex Smith IMO.

Is this Jay's final year of a contract? Cause the Eagles got him DIRT cheap for how good he is.
But for real we still need an Offensive Lineman, PLEASE get that and we will be golden because a committee of Blount and Jay sounds incredible.
Edit: Just checked and no he has a contract through 2018 and it's just the rookie wage. We STOLE this from Miami.

Another reason they got Jay is he's a great Pass Blocker, and if for some reason the Eagles don't get a Tackle before the deadline, Jay could probably help there a great deal. He ranks 19th in pass blocking. Over ten spots ahead of Blount and 20 ahead of Smallwood.
Wont be shocked if Clement or Smallwood and another pick get shopped for a good Lineman today

Are we sure the entire Dolphins Front Office isn't snorting Coke and not just the Offensive Coordinator they fired recently?

Running, catching, blocking etc..

In the next edition of owners put their foots in their mouths www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/21236774/dallas-cowboys-owner-jerry-jones-says-ezekiel-elliott-paying-mistakes-made-ray-riceJerry Jones says Zeke Elliot is paying for the mistakes the NFL made with Ray Rice. "Zeke is a victim of an overcorrection," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday However, he did say this: Jones wanted to make clear he was not condoning domestic violence by defending Elliott. "If we have a player or we have somebody guilty of domestic violence, they shouldn't play," Jones said. "But this isn't the case. In our society, [Elliott's] not guilty of that." I hope he is indeed innocent because he's def stuck his neck out there for Zeke

Makes sense
Way too soon to be giving Jimmy the run and he might get one day of practice in
However, I would expect him to get some type of playing time if CJ has a bad game
