You notice that whenever a team hires a so-called "quarterback whisperer" as a head coach, the team goes down the shitter? Doesn't the LA Rams have coach with a reputation as a QB Whisperer? He seems to be doing good with them. For now, we aren't that good. I think a major collapse is inevitable.

Browns have lost 10+ games in 13 of the past 15 seasons. Eight different coaches over that time. Perhaps the coach isn't the problem?

Apparently both Henry Anderson and Vontae Davis are the latest Colts to go on the IR this year. Just consider this list:
1st string QB (Luck) 2nd string HB (Tuebin) 1st string TE2 (Swope) 1st string RT (Good) 1st string RG (Mewhort) 2nd string C (Bond) 1st string DE (Anderson) 1st string ILB2 (Jackson) 1st string CB1 (Davis) 1st string FS (Hooker) 1st string SS (Geathers) 1st string KR/2nd string WR3 (Bray)
Additionally, the following have had injury issues at least for part of season:
1st string C (Kelly) 1st string LT (Costonzo, though no lost time yet) 2nd string CB2 (Wilson) 2nd string FS (Butler) 1st string ROLB (Simon)
Now those 3 wins sounds Herculean.

Colts have released Vontae Davis. Damn, that went south real fast.
Btw, this means that last season's week 1 starting defense for the Colts are all gone from the team now except Robert Mathis, who is now an assistant coach for the team instead of a player.

Releasing a player after he goes on IR is kind of a dick move to me.

I don't think there's any owner in pro sports I hate more than Jerry Jones. What a hypocritical scumbag. Yeah, Jones can eat the biggest bag of dicks possible.

Funny when you think about it, but since the AFC title loss to the Patriots, that franchise has been a huge steaming pile of hot garbage. I guess you can say that the loss.....deflated them.

The Colts were a dumpster fire the entire time. Andrew Luck just did an amazing job of hiding it until the dumpster fire caught up with him and derailed his career with injuries.

In Madden news, I had my best game in ages last night. Came back from a 17-0 deficit in the 3rd quarter (with me turning the ball over an embarrassing 3 times in the first half) to win in OT 23-17 against Pittsburgh. Ahahah, f*** them hoes.

Btw, this means that last season's week 1 starting defense for the Colts are all gone from the team now except Robert Mathis, who is now an assistant coach for the team instead of a player. Releasing a player after he goes on IR is kind of a dick move to me. It all depends. His salary is guaranteed, so he loses no money. Starting tomorrow he can start talking to other teams for next season (or this season when healthy since he was released rather than put on IR), so he can be one of the first UFA's to sign before even the tamper period. In all honesty, I am still a little confused. Sifting through the reports, there are two likely scenarios: 1) The Colts hid his injury while shopping him as trade bait and he reacted poorly enough to it all that the relationship became untenable. 2) Davis hid how hurt he was from the trainers for fear of losing his spot, lost his spot anyways because he played poorly, and reacted poorly enough to it all that the relationship became untenable. Personally, I lean towards #2. It makes no sense to hide an injury for trade purposes since a passed physical is required for any trade to be completed. It also makes more sense to leave a players injury status as a question mark than to hide an injury (hasn't Tom Brady been labeled as questionable for years now?), since it means opponents have to develop two sets of plans based on who might play. Lastly, this sounds more like a "heavy discipline" move than anything else. Guy gets hurt? Normally you put him on the shelf and let him hang around the team for support. You don't leave him at home and cut him later. That's the sort of thing you do to people who are becoming more disruptive than you want to deal with. If I am right and it is option 2, then I am not surprised he was cut. Hiding an injury causes the team to hide an injury, which violates league rules. That's bad enough, but if he became a problem when he got benched that could be it. I don't have a good feel for Ballard yet, but there are GMs that would cut you for less (Hell, Grigson wanted to cut McAfee because he personally didn't like him). That's not even mentioning the fact that Pagano is on the hot seat and can't afford to appear to lose the locker room.

Motion denied, Zeke's suspension back on. For how long tho? Edit: Wait it's a denial of an injunction so he should serve the full 6 games no BS delay now

I honestly see maybe 1 or 2 more wins on that schedule: Giants, maybe the Chargers, maybe Washington. By the time he comes back it may not even matter.

Ok, fine. Just do the best ya can to keep pace in the division during the six games and at least wrap up a wildcard. This circus though? Enough.

Patriots wasted no time in signing Martellus Bennett off waivers so the TE is back in Foxborugh with Bill and the gang.

So the Cowboys could be without Dez, Williams, and Tyron Smith for Atlanta and maybe beyond, and are without Bailey for at least another month (Though Nugent's been good) and Elliot's done for six games.
Boy this could collapse hard...

Eagles have signed DT Tim Jernigan to a 4 Year Extension.
We swapped 3rd Round Picks with Baltimore to get the guy and he's been nothing short of spectacular. Cox, Curry, Jernigan, and Barnett are now all sured up for 2020, if all stay healthy, that's HUGE.
