Remember when he was okay with the Brady suspension, yeah......I'm rooting for Goodell on this one. In fact, I remember him saying quote "I'm all for the power of the commissioner".

Cleveland Browns (0 – 9) Giants should be 31st. In normal cases, they would be. But this is where the early bye week helps New York as the Giants are ahead by half a game. Next week is where we may see that as San Francisco has its bye week. If the Giants lose, they will be where they belong. If the win, they will stay where they are.

They might have had the type of football team to win the Super Bowl in 1997, but in 2017 with the league so pass-heavy and so focused on quarterback play, they're doomed to an early exit in January. Look at the last 20 Super Bowl champions. Only five you could argue weren't built around the quarterback position - the 2015 Broncos, 2013 Seahawks, 2005 Steelers, 2002 Buccaneers, and 2000 Ravens. Of those five, at least three had all-time defenses to compensate for lesser or lackluster play from the man under center. The Jaguars defense this year is good, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it's very good or anywhere near historically good. They're a fun team but they're not the 2000 Ravens to Blake Bortles' Trent Dilfer. I wouldn't exactly say the 2012 Ravens were built around a QB. He was above average that year but so was Russell Wilson in 2013. The 2012 Ravens were borderline when I was making that list, but they're clearly a different team than this year's Jaguars. Joe Flacco in four playoff games threw for 1,140 yards and 11 touchdowns with zero interceptions. There's no way Blake Bortles comes even close to replicating that stat line. Hell, he'd probably have more interceptions than Flacco did by the end of the first half of the first playoff game.

Or Bortles somehow pulls off one hell of a playoff run and has people overrating him for years to come.

The Patriots have been atop the AFC East for nearly 20 years because they've been consistently good. But stuff like this makes people believe they're only running away with the AFC East because the rest of the division is full of buffoons who can't stop tripping over ottomans or stepping on rakes. Also, holy crap who is going to represent the AFC in the playoffs? Barring injury, the Patriots, Chiefs, and Steelers are locks. The Titans and Jaguars look likely with one winning the South and the other grabbing a Wild Card seed. But that leaves the remaining playoff spot for either 5-4 Buffalo; 4-5 Miami, Oakland, or Baltimore, or 4-6/3-6 Jets, Chargers, Denver, Cincinnati, or Houston. Who of those nine teams has shown they're worthy of playing January football?

Good news for CFL fans; the Maritime team might finally happen!
Bad news for CFL fans; the morons responsible for driving the Arizona Coyotes into multiple icebergs are in charge in setting up that franchise.
Its going to be the early 2000s Ottawa Rough Riders all over again.

I'm still confused why Goddell decided to pick fights with literally the two most tenured and influential owners in the league.

I'm still confused why Goddell decided to pick fights with literally the two most tenured and influential owners in the league. Because all the other owners were pissed off how he gave the cheaters only a slap on the wrist and the Ray Rice debacle scared him. In other things I think the better and bolder move would have been to go with Bridgewater this week rather then Keenum but what do I know Mike Zimmer so far is a good coach so I guess I should trust him???

I'm still confused why Goddell decided to pick fights with literally the two most tenured and influential owners in the league. Because all the other owners were still crying despite the fact he gave the 5-TIME, 5-TIME, 5-TIME, 5-TIME, 5 TIME SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS the harshest penalty to date at that time and the Ray Rice debacle scared him. In other things I think the better and bolder move would have been to go with Bridgewater this week rather then Keenum but what do I know Mike Zimmer so far is a good coach so I guess I should trust him??? Fixed the top part for ya. As for the bottom part: Keenum has been fine, so I get riding him for the moment. The second he falters, Bridgewater is coming in. Make no mistake about it. I'd give Zimmer the benefit of the doubt until reason not to
