You got to be shitting me! Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Eli is one of the greatest of all time, but still he deserves better than this. Macadoodoo is out this year even if he runs the table. Give Eli the last 4 games and ship him off to give him a chance to build the streak.

I can almost understand it if he said "Look, we're out of contention. We're in all likelihood going to have a high draft pick. It's worth checking out Davis Webb and see what he's got." But Geno Smith? We know what Geno Smith is. Jets fans and the NY sports media have watched him play and he left a lot to be desired. We know what Geno is.

All I can say as a Jets fan is I hope you like bone headed decisions and a bunch of INTs so a very very very low ranked Eli Manning without his clutch gene

I saw an article saying the Giants are tanking the season. Hell, they were 2-9 when they were actually trying, how much worse could they be now?

That yokel cost my team two Super Bowl championships. Bench him in favor of JaMarcus Russell for all I care.

Treguard to The Giants: Well, 2-9 is a bad record, at least you most likely got a top 5 draft pick in the 2018 NFL draft. Without the reward from correct riddles, you giants turned left when Right was Right, as a result of your benching of Eli Manning for Geno Smith, you have probaly become cannon fodder for the raiders this Sunday, spellcasting: D-I-S-M-I-S-S

Eli Manning gonna bounce to Denver or Jacksonville next year for a contender team, and Ben Macadoo is gonna be washing toilets somewhere. Bet on that.

I heard this live after that debacle of a press conference. It was very cathartic.

f***ing Giants. If this is what it was coming to, should've just traded Eli weeks ago when Denver looked like a contender that just needed a QB.

Lost in all of this Eli stuff is the simple fact that he hasn't been very good for several seasons.

Lost in all of this Eli stuff is the simple fact that he hasn't been very good for several seasons. Here's the thing about Eli, he doesn't have a lot of weapons to really get the offense moving, OBJ and this new Engram kid are about it, not really an existing run game, and Eli doesn't play defense. I'm not saying he's the greatest or age isn't catching up to him but I'll take Eli Manning 100% of the time vs Geno Effing Smith... and the Giants this season and the last few seasons is not on Eli.

Oh, it's not all on Eli. But the eyeball test doesn't lie. He's just hasn't looked right for a while. That said, Geno Smith is hot garbage. Unless they're actually gonna start the rookie at some point, this is stupid

Eli's biggest problem the last few years has been an atrocious offensive line that has made the Giants completely one-dimensional. They can't block for the run worth a damn, making them have statistically one of the worst if not the outright worst running game in the league. He has a low sack total, but only because he throws the ball away immediately as soon as a pass-rusher is able to get past one of the O-liners. He also can't help the dropped balls, though considering that his receivers are practice squad fodder atm, that's really no one's fault.
That failure is on Reese not even bothering to address the O-Line in the offseason. Granted, after a rough start, Ereck Flowers is having a bounceback, improved season. But the right side of the line was atrocious. They had to know the likes of John Jerry and Bobby Hart weren't going to fly as starting linesmen. But he failed this team and he failed Eli.

McAdoo was a horrible hire. Reminds me of the Bucs hiring Dirk Koetter, a coach that isn't capable of being a HC and cannot win. Glorified OC and honestly the Giants need to fire him.
Tbh, Denver needs to cut Vance Joseph too. Horrible hire, they should have taken McVay and kept Wade, like the Rams did. They seriously would have been better off.

Eli is fortunate he played his best football during two playoff runs that lead to a Super Bowl win. Outside of that his numbers in the playoffs are atrocious, he didn't win a single playoff game and the only thing he ever lead the league in was interceptions three times.

As much as I make fun of Eli for his goofy facial expressions, he deserves better than this. Yeah, he's not one of the greatest QBs ever, but he did win two Super Bowls for the Giants, who hadn't won a championship in 17 years prior to Super Bowl XLII.
Plus, while not great, he hasn't really had much help the past few years besides OBJ. They don't have a running game because of the terrible o-line, and he gets rushed quite a bit.
