Honestly? I like what the Packers did here. If we cannot beat the Browns and/or the the Bucs, we should not be in the playoffs. With or without Rodgers. And if he plays in these games and maybe Pittsburgh he risks rushing back from the injury too quickly and getting an even more devastating injury. I definitely wouldn't want his first game back be on the road at Pit or for his career to end at the hands of a winless Browns team via Myles Garrett

Has the modern NFL ever gotten this late in the season without a head coach getting fired?

Has the modern NFL ever gotten this late in the season without a head coach getting fired? I guess it all depends on the current available pool in College and beyond that they'd be looking at, at this point some teams might be giving a coach another year to work out kinks or they're just gonna release them during or close to the end of the year.

I think Vance Joseph and Ben McAdoo are safe bets to be fired.

I think Vance Joseph and Ben McAdoo are safe bets to be fired. And John Fox and Hue Jackson and Chuck Pagano and Kyle Shanahan. Marvin Lewis also did not get an extension (yet) and he's in his last year. Mike McCarthy and Bruce Arians are likely on the hot seat as well.

Fox honestly may get another year, they have no wideouts bc of injury. Jackson, I would think, but I don't trust Browns management. Pagano is going to get ousted ala Jim Caldwell in 2011. Shanny gets another year. I thought Lewis got an extension in the offseason?

I've joked about it in the past, but now I think more than ever that Eli should go to the Jets. At least they have a good o-line and decent WRs that don't act like divas. Plus how great would it be if Eli got ring #3 playing for the other NY/NJ team?

Nahh i'm good I love Eli from afar but Jets have been fools gold this season in regards to their wins but they've played hard Jets just need to keep the path of the rebuild happening If Eli ultimately wants to be somewhere else I think it will be in Denver or Jacksonville

49ers would be in the wild card hunt if they had Jimmy G at the start of the season. No way Kyle walks.

Vance Joseph will probably get the boot because of the way the Broncos have so obviously quit this season. Like, I cannot remember a team so visibly saying "F**k this season," quite like the 2017 Denver Broncos. Cleveland doesn't have a win this season, but they aren't any good and are woefully lacking talent offensively or defensively. Conversely, Denver has enough talent on both sides of the ball to be a playoff contender, but they've just flat-out given up on the season. That falls on the guy in charge of commanding that locker room. Joseph will be one-and-done. Ben McAdoo is absolutely going to be fired for the way the Eli Manning saga has played out. Regardless of who is to blame, the New York media and fans have focused their lasers on McAdoo and have decided he alone is to blame for the way the fiasco unfolded. John Fox will probably get another season because Chicago isn't all that talented and he was forced to turn to a rookie quarterback less than midway through the season. He deserves at least one more season to groom Mitchell Trubisky. Hue Jackson might get fired. He might not. I really have no idea what's going on in Cleveland's front office. They might view this season as part of a long-term rebuild and give him one more year or they might view it as underwhelming and can him. Chuck Pagano might actually get one more season because of how bad the Colts roster is. It's not his fault how poorly constructed this team is and it's not his fault the franchise quarterback missed the entire year. He's just playing with the cards he's dealt and given how bad the Colts are from top-to-bottom (Cleveland might be the only team with a worse 53-man roster), you could argue that they've performed above and beyond expectations. Kyle Shanahan isn't going anywhere. This was clearly established as a rebuilding year in San Francisco and as a coach who is regarded as a quarterback whisperer, they'll definitely want to pair him and Jimmy Garoppolo for at least a few seasons. Marvin Lewis, man, I give up. I've been saying he should have been out of a job for years now, but Cincinnati keeps bringing him back. I see no reason why the Bengals would change anything, given how this year and last season are basically mirror images. If he wasn't canned after last season, he won't be after this season. Mike McCarthy won't lose his job. He's got Aaron Rodgers' injury to fall back on as the reason why Green Bay went nowhere in 2017. Bruce Arians can say the same with the loss of David Johnson and Carson Palmer. You didn't mention his name, but I think Tampa Bay's Dirk Koetter might be on his way out after this season. A lot of people had the Buccaneers pegged as a team that was ready to make the leap this season and instead they've fallen flat on their faces.

I don't know about Vance Joseph being gone, it all depends on what Elway wants to do. Yeah sounds obvious but what I am getting at is he refused to look at the Broncos as rebuilding after last season, just "reloading", so does he admit his failures as GM and start over or what?
Does he deal a Shane Ray or Bradley Roby or CJ Anderson for a pick or a middle of the road vet QB that mentors ANOTHER draft pick? Or does he look to grab an offensive lineman or two and take one more run at it with this defense? To me, between McCoy's offense being too rigid for the team and the line being absolute garbage again, It is hard for me to see this as a team that needs rebuilding. It needs retooling for sure, why Von is dropping back into coverage so much and not rushing more, we need at least one tackle, and a TE would be nice but I think we could get by with a few small changes.
Now all that said, we need a long term solution at QB and I am not sold on the current staff. VJ is raved about by the players but is he the right fit? The team seems to be getting away with way too much, too much letting the boys be boys. Woods at DC seems a failure but I have a hard time pinning the issues on him when the offense has sucked so so so badly. McCoy is gone and I like Musgrave but will he be here next year, if so what does this mean for Paxton, Trevor and Brock? Paxton is a first round pick but has never really gotten a chance so tossing that away just makes zero sense.
The team is a crazed mess for sure but I just don't know that taking a wrecking ball to it is the answer, yet. I guess at the end of the day, I expect major changes on the offense, probably a trade for a veteran OL and probably drafting two or three as well.
Oh and Brock Olivo will be out on his ass.
