Browns clinch no 1 overall pick This is going to be a lot like that Coach episode where nobody wants to play for the Breakers & they trade the pick for farmland. I think the QB from UCLA is already talking about returning for his senior season just to avoid Cleveland.

Both Darnold and Rosen have said they don't want to go to the Browns Browns could use that to their advantage and trade out from the pick to go a few picks down and get Lamar Jackson but they will probably screw that up

If I was the first pick in the draft I'd block the Brown's number on my phone

In other news, quite a huge Social Media push to get Jason Garrett fired right now...

Fun fact - only one team from last year's NFC playoffs will make it to the postseason this year (either Atlanta or Seattle).

I love how Social Media is all like "Bill knew to trade Jimmy to San Fran to sure up their first round bye in Week 15"

Just waiting for every single player in the draft to announce they'd rather play for Vince McMahon than go to Cleveland.

I see that some teams have been complaining to the NFL that the Packers should release Aaron Rodgers, due to the violation of the IR Rules.
We'll see how well that goes.

If that was the case, he would've fired Garrett's ass a long time ago. 2 winning seasons in 7 years, 2 playoff runs, and the rest of the time, 8-8. Except the one year they went 4-12.

With Marvin Lewis leaving, SOMEBODY had to claim the ironclad contract in the NFL.

That would be the worst decision Goodell has ever made right? Like even their horrendous choices in the ballgazi fiasco would be nothing compared to the Packer fans who would storm league HQ

He hasn't shown it since like 1998. There was the brief stint where Parcells brought them back to some semblance of respectability after Campo had wrecked them completely; and then he ran Bill off with his meddling. Jerry is fine making noises about winning so long as you're making money. And given that Dallas is going to make a profit no matter what, he's cool with a puppet.

He still thinks it was his doing that they won 3 Super Bowls in the 90's, when it really was the work of two guys: Jimmy and Barry.

Even Switzer didn't do all that much as laissez-faire as he was as a coach. Talent was assembled at that point and knew the jobs.
After him you had Chan Gailey. He wasn't spectacular, but he did have a winning record. After 2 yrs he was out and Campo got in there for three disastrous years. Great defensive coordinator, garbage head coach. Parcells pulled em out of the doldrums and was puttin stuff together; but he and Jerry were never gonna co-exist. Then Wade, then Garrett.

I love how Social Media is all like "Bill knew to trade Jimmy to San Fran to sure up their first round bye in Week 15" I also love the "Thom Brady's gonna retire soon, and Jimmy G will come back. You all know it's true." mindset. I'm just happy he's a Niner.
