I see that some teams have been complaining to the NFL that the Packers should release Aaron Rodgers, due to the violation of the IR Rules. We'll see how well that goes. That would be the worst decision Goodell has ever made right? Like even their horrendous choices in the ballgazi fiasco would be nothing compared to the Packer fans who would storm league HQ Man, how fast would Cleveland snatch him up.

Man, how fast would Cleveland snatch him up. You misspelled "Jacksonville" I'm sure there would be like 10 teams rushing to claim him.

Pats signed Harrison for 1 play in 1 game. He's going to rip Ben's leg off in the AFC Championship game and start chomping on it like a turkey leg

Patriots signed OLB James Harrison, formerly of the Steelers. The NFL then fined Harrison $50,000 for not retiring. However, the referees overturned the call after watching the replay.

RB Jamaal Charles has asked the Denver Broncos for his release.
Yeah, I think he also wants to join a contender, but unlike Harrison in the linebacker position...I think all the contending teams are fine on the running back position

I normally stay silent in these threads (and you'll see why soon enough), but I've had all I can standsk and I can't standsk no more.
As far back as I can remember (and I can remember far; my earliest memory is from when I was 2, I'm 38), I've been a Browns fan. My non-wrestling childhood heroes were Leroy Hoard, Kevin Mack, Bernie Kosar, Eric Metcalf, even Vinny Testeverde. I destroyed my bedroom in anger when The Drive happened. I, no lie, cried when it was announced that they were moving the Baltimore.
I had (and in many cases, still have) hundreds of Browns related items. Some I bought, some were gifts; hell, I even won stuff on radio call in contests. I have a Browns tattoo. I have a Browns jersey with my name on the back. I have jerseys of long gone, flash in the pan players like Charlie Frye, Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow.
I liked Tim Couch. It wasn't his fault that he didn't do well. When you're only step 3 of a 7 step dropback and you're sacked, that's the OLs fault. He had a GOD AWFUL line, and just about nobody to throw to. He was supposed to sit for a year and learn from Detmer. But ol' Ty got hurt. That seems to happen a lot with Browns players...they get hurt.
LeCharles Bentley, Jamir Miller, Chris Spielman...the list goes on. And sure, it's nice to sit back and think 'what might have been?', but this is the NFL. A 'What have you done for me lately?' place. Nobody cares that Cribbs holds all kinds of records. Nobody cares that the Bills playoff drought is longer than Cleveland's. Nobody cares.
Especially the office. The NFL is, first and foremost, a f***ing business. The ownership knows that the fans will fill the stadium every week. Browns fans are some of, if not the most, diehard fans in all of sports. No matter what happens. We're not front running band-wagoners. And I for one, am sick of it.
For the first time in my life, I am ashamed to be a Browns fan. I keep my tattoo covered because I just don't want to hear the ridicule. I don't wear my gear because it hurts to know what could have been and what is.
And now I hear that some players might not enter the draft because they don't want to play in Cleveland? Good. f*** 'em. I don't want your bum ass. I want people who want to be there. I want someone who is willing to shoulder all the burdens that come with being a member of this team, go out there and give it his all. I want someone who isn't *afraid* of getting dirty, and having to try hard.
The draft is coming up in a handful of months. And I'll watch it. I do every year. And I'll have high hopes for whomever they select. Personally, I think they should trade out of 1, gets some picks and maybe a player or two and keep whichever they get from the Texans.
This Sunday is the last game of the season. It means little to nothing to the team as a franchise. Hell, Pitt might rest some starters. But to me? This game is everything. Beat the Steelers in a trap game and cost them home field? Shit man, that IS our Super Bowl anymore. And after the game, win lose or draw, I'll keep my baubles, shirts, jerseys and whatnot. And I'll dust myself off. And I'll watch the draft with high hopes and think to myself....'maybe this is the year...maybe'.
Go Browns.

What's sad about the Browns is that I wouldn't say they really deserve to be listed among the absolute worst teams of all time. How about the 1991 Patriots? 1-15 but a ghastly -265 differential for the season. The 2007 Dolphins were also mentioned in another thread, 1-15 with a -170, about the same as the Browns now except 1 win. The 1991 Colts were also 1-15 and had a -238, so they could have challenged that Pats team for futility. The notorious 2008 Lions are certainly worse than this Browns team, 0-16 with a -249 (the next year they were 2-14 and had almost as awful a differential of -232).
That's what is sad about the Browns. They actually try pretty hard, but their game execution is some of the worst ever. How many times have they called a time out at the wrong time? Or declined a penalty they should have taken? Or mismanaged an end of half/game red zone situation and gotten no points? This is a team that lost by 3 to Pittsburgh, 3 to the awful Colts, 3 to the Jets, in OT to the Titans and Packers, etc. They should gotten about 3 wins this year if nothing else.

So a full 365+ days between wins. But hey if (lol if) they lose to the Steelers on Sunday then every definition of it works
