TL;DR Match Listings:
*No Way Jose in singles action
*Peyton Royce vs Sarah Logan
*WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne and Wolfgang vs Tyler Bate and Trent Seven
---
That's right, it's Wednesday again and that means ONLY one thing... It's time for another new episode of NXT. This week, we end the Brooklyn summer season by going right back to the beginning of it, with a selection of matches that were taped in the Barclays Center before Takeover Brooklyn III went live to air, as well as the fallout from another momentous Takeover special.
Our featured bout tonight centers around some of WWE's top UK stars, as the reigning WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne teams up with Wolfgang against regular partners Tyler Bate and Trent Seven. This will be the first time that Moustache Mountain, the current PROGRESS Tag Team Champions and former CHIKARA Campeones De Parejas, have teamed up under the WWE banner, but their opponents tonight in their British Strong Style stablemate Dunne and Wolfgang, who defeated Seven in the UK Championship Tournament, will be a major challenge for this skilled combination of youth and experience. Can the Mountain men get the win, or will The Bruiserweight and The Last King Of Scotland get it done instead?
In women's competition, we will see Peyton Royce of The Iconic Duo take on an entrant from the Mae Young Classic, in the Kentucky survivalist Sarah Logan. Royce and Iconic Duo partner Billie Kay were seen chatting up SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan on Saturday night, so it could be possible that a move up to the main roster could be sooner rather than later, and a win over Logan will go a long way towards consideration for that call-up to the main roster. However, with the premiere of the Mae only a week away, Logan is looking to rise up from the woods and mud and get a win on the board to secure herself a regular place in the NXT TV rotation and get a little buzz happening for her burgeoning career.
Finally, we will see the party-hardened No Way Jose in singles competition. Jose has not had it all his own way recently, but the post-Takeover period is always a good chance to re-evaluate the situation and try and get back into the swing of things. Unfortunately, Jose's opponent was unidentified to us at this time, so let's just hope for Jose's sake that he can play well enough with others and provide some healthy competition.
All that, and the latest on the shocking arrival of Adam Cole, NXT Women's Champion Asuka's injury and other Takeover fallout, TONIGHT on NXT!
