Goldberg vs Scott Steiner Fall Brawl 2000 this is a hidden gem to me, if you over look all the interference, and there is a lot ugh, Mark Madden...... and look, referee Mickey Jay Hensen is refereeing this one too (The poor bastard). Scott is surprisingly mobile in this match(compared to his WWE debut 3 years later- so when did his Dropfoot kick in?) Interference was nowhere near as ridiculous as I've seen from WCW or TNA, so no, this match wasn't bad at all for these two. but shirtless Vince Russo is ALMOST as bad as shirtless Mark Madden

Back with another recommendation. Austin vs Dude Love at Over The Edge 1998. Probably in my top 3 matches for both guys and certainly the best over-booked, screwy, everyone's involved, Russo-as-head-writer, Attitude Era brawling type match I've ever seen. One of those matches that shouldn't have worked but really, really did. Probably because Steve and Mick work so well together. If you haven't seen it, go and put it on the Network right now. First of all, points to Pat Patterson for his "introductions". and "Corporate Dude Love" with his hair styled so you can't see the mangled ear. a wild UNDERTAKER appears! He uses INTIMIDATE! He uses LOOOM!!! And a "Change the rules every 30 seconds match" I thought was a Bischoff signature match guess I was wrong there. JR's indignation is very genuine as each new rule comes in - love it. Solid finish with the interference picked away and Austin adhering to "Exact Words" (Vince saying before the match that the match can only end by his own hand......) Not a huge Austin fan, but you're right, Austin and Foley did a great job here.

Pattersons introductions are so funny lol What a bunch of douches were the stooges Also Taker coming out and freaking out Vince was great - that kind of intersection of feuds is something you never see anymore. I also love corporate Dude Love with his tied up hair. Just so many great elements in one match. I think I figured out what makes this match so great. It's a brawl heavy match where both guys are actually really skilled at brawling. Well that and an amazing story and amazing character performances.

Also, if you want a good, underrated Raw match, watch Bulldog v Owen in the European Title finals on March 3rd 1997. I just went back and watched that match and it's great. oooo, MAT RASSLIN...... I almost feel like Vince was trying to force a story into this match... and the Honky Tonk Man calling him out on it was weird. This is one I should have watched on mute, the table was very distracting to the crisp action that Bulldog and Owen gave us.

Muting it is definitely for the best. But the match itself is awesome. CRISP. SMOOTH. MAT. WRESTLING. *drolls* I'm a mega mark for technical mat wrestling, it's my favourite style <3

Triple H vs Shawn Michaels
Badd Blood 2004
this is a prime example of a match going insanely long for no reason to me
Kevin Nash vs Triple H
TLC 2011
this is....odd seeing Nash in a ladder match, especially considering his age at the time

Triple H vs Shawn Michaels Badd Blood 2004 this is a prime example of a match going insanely long for no reason to me I WAS THERE! (sitting next to a dude in a J.O.B. Squad shirt)
And it sure didn't feel like an hour in person. Video package comments that HiaC is "The End" [of feuds], sad we've lost our way on that. This was the match that made me realize the truth in wrestling that "the better friends outside the ring, the better enemies inside it". This match, along with Summerslam 2002, are proof of that. Yes, this match could have been shorter (seeing a lot of repeated moves, especially early on), but if these two weren't technically going to work with each other (friend or foe) for a couple of years, they're gonna get EVERYTHING in before they go their separate ways.

Kevin Nash vs Triple H TLC 2011 this is....odd seeing Nash in a ladder match, especially considering his age at the time I would like to think they made it a ladder match to punish Kevin Nash for screwing up much of the Punk/HHH storyline that year. (no quads were damaged in the course of this match) Like the Bad Blood HitC, this could have been considerably shorter. HHH had to do most of the work in this since we know how "mobile" Nash was. The "Too Sweet" dissed with a DX chop.... I look forward to the "Too Sweet" getting its win back in the next year or so

Ooh, I've got one!
Edge vs Eddie vs Kurt vs Benoit from Smackdown in December 2002.
Hell any late 2002 Smackdown will probably have at least one awesome match (still my favorite product WWE has ever put out) but this match is particularly awesome. It helps that I love all four of those guys.

Let’s make this a bit interesting... World War 3 1998: Three Ring, Sixty Man Battle Royal I predict that WWE will never, no matter how big their roster is, e-e-e-e-e-ever[/jericho] bring this to an event. (insert "Three ring circus joke" here) I feel bad that I don't recognize some of these guys, but some I recognize all too readily. I was unaware Kaz Hayashi was in WCW that far back. 60 guys brawling and the camera sticks on Kevin Nash...... fast work from a guy with the book in one hand. Took exactly ONE bump the entire match. Easiest payday ever. from a production perspective, they're doing better on this one than they did with WarGames, I just feel bad for people who don't even get a mention when they got tossed. This match was also likely a time management nightmare since they had one more match after this one. A lot going on in this match, but sadly too much to really stop and tell any of the stories that might have been attached to the eliminations.

For all the animal names they come up with for Eddie, they miss the most obvious one.... he's Coyote. Not a jackal, not a hyena, not a vulture... he's a trickster coyote. Miss you, Eddie. Angle/Edge went as long as it did because Kurt forgot to pull down the other strap kinda like with Dragonball movies, it's not over til Gokou loses both his shirts... awesome finish, and a visit from Uncle Paul and his current client Brock the Big Show as the cherry on top.

Pulling down the strap unleashes Kurt's full power. PAUL AND THE BIG SHOW. That sure lasted like a hot minute. Separating Paul and Bork just ain't right.

Paul E. probably writes fanfiction about himself managing Samoa Joe. (there's the foundation for a new Dangerous Alliance right there)
