I figured the yaoi episode was a one off. Yea, like I just watched that episode for the first time recently and tho I haven't watched too many episodes of the newer seasons I know they are following a storyline path but I figured that was just a one off The south park episodes are so cultural now that they can become outdated real fast

I think it was mostly because they need a functional couple to go side-to-side with Cartman and his girlfriend

I believe they broke up when Stan got "old" and everything became shit but like I said I haven't kept up with the show in a long time so i'm missing info.

Wendy and Stan broke up again last season (along with pretty much every other straight couple) because the girls were convinced Cartman was the troll harassing everyone, and the boys weren't doing anything to stop it. As for Tweek & Craig... eh, it doesn't really bother me. They work fairly well together as opposites.

Somewhat related, my favorite Stan and Wendy breakup is when she dumped him right after "Go Fund Yourself" because prior he told Clyde he was going to be "dripping in bitches" That always makes me laugh.

Better than the last episode. I don't get the vibe that Tweeks and Craig are gay just really close friends putting on an act so people would stop with the fan fiction stuff. I remember reading like ten years ago that Trey Parker would probably quit South Park if he becomes a father because he might get sensitive and the moment he decides to kill a joke over taste & uncomfortably South Park can't exist.
Well now he's a father and there was plenty of brutal gory deaths of young children in this episode. I feel like this a slight overcompensation for doing Despicable Me 3 for his kid lol.

So I just watched this weeks show. I thought it was better then last weeks, but not by much. Maybe the shows quality has dropped a lot, maybe the show just isn't the novelty it used to be, maybe I'm just getting too old to be that flippant about politics anymore, but the show just isn't doing it for me anymore. I think it's time to pull it from my DVR. It's kinda sad. While I was never a huge fan, outside of wrestling it is the show that's been on my DVR's "scheduled recording" list the longest.

I think it's because the show has become too current & too political that when they actually try to recreate the ultraviolent insanity of the early years, it's kind of difficult to enjoy because it's so... radically abstract. I don't really see Trey & Matt as like Al Jean, who will probably Mr. House himself just so he can still make Simpsons episodes 200 years from now. They likely want to end it because the show slowly morphed into the very thing they hated 22 years ago about television, but Comedy Central is starving for new programming. Plus, all of their latest animated projects have been complete disasters (with the possible exception of that variety show), so Viacom has to be begging them to stay.

How come we can't get episodes like "The Death of Eric Cartman," "Royal Pudding," or even the won with wacky races. They can still provide the political/current event satire, without being overbearing to the point where there aren't many laughs anymore.

Better than the last episode. I don't get the vibe that Tweeks and Craig are gay just really close friends putting on an act so people would stop with the fan fiction stuff. And yet every so often, Craig would call Tweek "sweetie" while trying to calm him down. Maybe like 3 times, but it was cute and obviously flew under a lot of radars.

Like it could be interperated as a friendly pet name that happened because they are putting on a act. Either way loved the dynamic and hope to see more of it. It should be purposely vague and interpretative nust like the fan fiction shipping art that brought them together
