I always thought that Charlie Haas was a great performer and should have been involved in more high profile matches and angles than he was.
The way he wrestled reminds me a little bit of Chris Benoit/Kurt Angle.
He is definitely worthy of a couple of U.S Title/Intercontinental Title runs and if given more time to get his character over he could have even got involved in the World title situation.
Anyone else feel Charlie Haas was a great worker and was underutilised? Or is it just me??

I think he was a good wrestler but he was utilized about as well as he could have been.

He ws the very definition of "generic" in an era when people complained about all the talent basically looking the same. Good hand, but not upper crust.

Had no idea he was 45.
I think a gimmick with him as Jackie's boy toy would've been good.

I do wonder what his career would have been like had Russ not died. He might had a longer tag team run with a more balanced partner.

I was a fan. His son Chad Cable is filling his shoes quite nicely, too.

One of the funniest unintentional things ever was during a pre recorded promo he paused after saying his name to complete silence and said thank you like if he expected a big pop.

I liked Charlie Haas a lot, as well. I would have liked to see him used a little more. I knew he'd probably never make it to the main event scene, but I think he could have been a really solid mid-card guy for a while.

He was in the first batch of DLC ever for a wrestling video game, and his moveset was a lot of fun to play.
His last 6 months in ROH with the full-fledged HAAS-Hole gimmick might be my favorite singles run of his career. One of the few must-see enjoyable moments at a time when ROH really smelled funny.

I saw him a couple times at house shows and dark matches and he always gave 100%. There was a particular show where the rest of the roster looked half asleep or bored to be performing, and Charlie had enough energy to make up for them all. I'll always respect that.
I think he probably reached where he belonged in WWE. He had a good run on Smackdown, got a few different chances, and then had a memorable imitator gimmick on RAW years later.

He was a lot of fun as the straight man (lol) to Rico's antics during their brief teaming on SmackDown in '04. Outside of that, I always found it hard to actually care for him at all.
Remember that weird spell in Sunday Night Heat's dying days in 2008 where he was doing that thing where he'd be getting beaten down in a match, then pop under the ring and come out wearing a Lucha mask and doing Lucha moves? That sure was... a thing that happened?

Charlie was placed where he should have been on the card. Great talent and and a solid hand. Not everybody needs to be a main event player and Charlie filled his niche in the middle of the card very well.
Anyway, whatever his chances of getting a major push were it probably went out the window with the Lillian Garcia accident.

Yes but then again its no suprise as he was half of a tag team that was once called the "worlds greatest tag team." In all serious i haven't seen any of his stuff for a long time so i'll need to go back and have a look. Damn it poor Lililan can't catch a break can she?. She gets knocked off the ring apron during Charlie Haas' entrance. But I was also at a WWE Smackdown taping in London when she tripped over during her own entrance to make things worse, WWE were making light of the incident on several occasions. He was a lot of fun as the straight man (lol) to Rico's antics during their brief teaming on SmackDown in '04. Outside of that, I always found it hard to actually care for him at all. I always wish they had made him JBL's Chief of Staff instead of Orlando Jordan. Thought he would have been better in the role.
