This is now up on the Network, its actually pretty great and well put together as they include All Japan Women footage among other stuff, its a great full circle story and the footage of her talking to Vince at the Hall of Fame is a great scene. It also great to see Vince actually talking about her, which I dont recall he ever has... ?? She is still defiantly one of my favourites and its crazy to think for 20 years they basically white washed her out of WWE history and now they do this, which is usually reserved for your Trish & Lita's I think I preferred the white strap, red logo version of the 90's Women's Championship.

Why have they edited the block WWF logo on the belt? I thought the original was OK to use?

I think if the photo above was released by WWE as a means of promoting the documentary (technically new content) then it has to be altered. If a photo is released as part of an archive gallery on the website then it seems to be fine to keep as original.

The logo was also blurred in the footage of her showing the belt during her HoF speech. I'm guessing they can only show the WWF logo now when it's actual WWF-era video and not WWE footage. They also never market the block WWF logo anymore, either, like they did a few years ago. In 2010, they released a T-shirt with the pre-1998 WWF logo on it, and it was blurred when, I think, Jimmy Hart wore it on "Legends House."

Yeah, pure archival footage like a DVD compilation or a old PPV on the Network can be left untouched. In the video games, the WWF footage in the story modes is blurred as it is a new product. Oh yeah I remember that t-shirt. I really wanted the green one!

I loved it. She was one of my childhood heroes and I'm still a fan. I could listen to her talk all day.

Hey if they give Blayze more, why not Owen? Because Owen wife doesn't want anything to do with WWE. If "more Owen" means something similar to this Blayze special, they'll make it if they want, regardless of what his widow thinks. They released the DVD/Blu-ray set on Owen a few years ago despite Martha's objections.

A DVD is one thing, but him being dead and having an angry widow makes things more difficult, maybe in a few years if his kids want to be involved they'll do more.

Yeah, they can't really have any Owen action figures or Owen in WWE video games because they'd have to get Martha to sign a deal on his behalf. However, something like this Blayze special is different as they don't need her permission to do it.

She is working with them in a capacity I believe, in the PC training, Mae Young Classic and other ambassador/promotional stuff so it makes sense, similar to Lita, while Owen cant do that unfortunately.

I and many others truly believe if it wasn't for her and what she did the Montreal screwjob would never have happened. Granted Bischoff would have been able to make Bret do somethine he didn't want to do.

Granted Bischoff would have been able to make Bret do somethine he didn't want to do. Not at all, the issue was Bret was champion and Eric was going to announce live on Nitro that WCW had signed the current WWF Champion on the Nitro following Survivor Series and as that airs before RAW, there wouldnt have been anything Vince could do about it, the title belt itself had nothing to do with the problem at hand, so even if Blayze had not had dropped the title in the trash, Bischoff still would have been announcing that WCW had signed WWF's World Champion. Of course the belt trashing incident made the war more sour, but so did Luger, Hall and Nash's defections etc. The Montreal Screwjob would have happened regardless, it was an entirely different scenario, and people don't seem to be able to grasp that.

I think there's possibly another element that comes from the Blayze situation. From what the way they were all talking, Vince and Alundra were SUPER close, it might be just because this is their documentary so they're blowing smoke, but they sounded super tight. One of my things about Bret going over is "Bret wouldn't have done anything, he's too loyal" but if Vince had had that kind of relationship with Alundra, ad then she does that on Nitro, it could have put more doubts in his mind about another guy he was close to hurting him.

You know... Vince is either the world's greatest actor or he really does love her like a long lost daughter.
