I just hope we find out the whole story someday. How could the WWE's doctors and Bryan's doctors be so off? Are one side quacks? Is WWE afraid of a lawsuit? Is WWE really that against Bryan wrestling again because they don't want to push him and know that he'd be the most over guy in the company if he was wrestling? It's all so strange.

Yeah I'm in agreement that if he does quit WWE and decides to wrestle again then New Japan will make a serious play for him. He could be a massive factor in making their US expansion a success.

As soon as he's able, he'll be back in ROH and probably NJPW. I could totally see Bryan Danielson being the guy who reignites some of the fire that the Bullet Club has lost. A feud with Omega for control would be amazing, hopefully with Danielson winning and Omega making his way to WWE. Or he goes after Minoru for control of Suzukigun, the same way Suzuki did to Kojima. Minoru/Bryan could be amazing, and given Minoru's style shouldn't be that hard on Bryan's body.

It's Win-Win for Bryan: WWE acquiesces and gives him a raise for an ON-SCREEN role. Or they let him wrestle. Or he goes and lights a fire up under ROH/NJPW while getting paid AND wrestling.

I feel like it's probably a case where Bryan's finding doctors who tell him what he wants to hear, but WWE's making a point of making him a sacrificial lamb for the concussion lawsuit while at the same time not particularly minding that it gets them out of having to push him because they are exactly that petty. However, I am more inclined to take WWE's side on it, since Bryan mentioned hiding seizures from the company and lying about how many concussions he'd had. Even if a doctor says, "Sure, you're good to go," you shouldn't be risking that shit, especially with a wife and kid at home.

Seems to be, though I hope he doesn't if his health is as bad as some are saying.

WWE haven't trusted outside doctors since they caused Bob Orton to wear a cast on his forearm for almost a year

I'm really curious about this as well. Bryan's side of it on the E&C podcast made it sound like WWE is being overly cautious and my inner conspiracy theorist makes me want to think it really is so they could proceed with their Roman Reigns plans without it getting derailed even further. Or Bryan could be completely delusional and full of shit. I want to believe he's smarter than that and wouldn't be taking such a risk with a new daughter but who knows.

If this seriously affects his health wrestling on the indy scene, WWE somehow still gets the blame.

He's pretty much just playing the waiting game. Bryan Danielson is gonna kick some f***ing heads in next year. Impact Wrestling could use a boost, and he could go down there with Brie. And heck. Maybe, just maybe someday, brother in-law Cena could join him? It's about time, some wrestlers don't stay too loyal to WWE, even though they pretty much have their whole careers on tape. John Cena and Daniel Bryan could be the two guys who can turn around the company, unlike in 2010, when they thought Hogan and Bischoff could. TNA had Jeff Hardy when he was at least the second biggest face in the WWE... and didn't get any growth with it. and that was at a time when they were on an actual network like Spike not the nothing that is Pop.

I think it's the lawsuit thing. Not Bryan suing them but the one they are facing from Vito and the FCW guy. As far as I know even wwe's own doctors have said he can go back, it is just one guy that won't clear him and that one guy is the most important one to their case. We know know he's training and bumping with no issues, so I'd imagine WWE has to know that as well but until this lawsuit is not over their heads, he'll be held out.

Danielson: I'm signing with ROH! *next day* Breaking news: WWE has purchased Ring of Honor! Danielson: Damn it! My wrestling-addled mind has crafted this insane conspiracy theory surrounding Daniel Bryan. The McMahon family came to the the understanding that as long as D-Bry is around, there's no way fans are going to buy Roman Reigns as the top guy. So they instruct their doctor to find any reason at all to keep from clearing him, even after every other doctor says that he's good to go. As a bonus, they can use this in their defense when criticism of concussions comes up. "Look at Bryan. He's the biggest star we've got. Every other doctor cleared him, but our AWESOME doctor doesn't want to chance it. He's the biggest star we've got *wink, wink* and we're losing a lot of money by putting his health first. I also half-believe that WWE's reason for going so aggressively after so many indy darlings (especially Nakamura) was to keep Bryan from just quitting and working somewhere else. Most of the guys he'd want to have matches with (and he's been after that Nakamura match for years) are locked up in WWE. Do I really believe that? Nah. Of course not. Not entirely. Because if it WERE true, Bryan would have grounds for one hell of a lawsuit. But it's always there in the back of my mind.

Bryan's health is a tricky situation to me. On one hand, I definitely think the company's holding him back due to the lawsuit and what could potentially happen to him. On the other hand, I think Bryan lying about the seizures, his passion towards wrestling and how far he'd go might give him ideas he doesn't need to be thinking. He did say on the E&C podcast that if he ever found out that if it was serious, he'd give it up but he made it seem as though the test results were incorrect. One thing's for sure, he's had concussions, he's had seizures and he's had other injuries and that in itself should limit any potential wrestling he wants to do. I don't know what to say because it's up to him, Brie and Birdie to decide what's best for them all. It's beyond me.
If he does end up wrestling again though, I only want him around for 4-5 matches a year and that's it. I want him to work an Undertaker schedule if that.
