The 'forgotten child' of the MCU movies. I actually quite like it all things considered. Ed Norton was pretty good as Bruce Banner although I do prefer the Mark Ruffalo version.
Don't even mind the CGI fest between Hulk and Abomination at the very end. After the 2003 Hulk (which I don't mind but can see why others don't like) I think the audience just wanted to see Hulk wreck dudes and cause carnage. I enjoyed Tim Roth's performance as Emil Blonsky and William Hurt was pretty damn good as General Ross. Sam Elliott was probably better though.
Only complaint is Liv Tyler's kind of generic as Betty Ross and there isn't enough Tim Blake Nelson in this movie. I know they were setting him up to be Leader but I guess that fell by the wayside due to the whole Universal sequel deal and Norton trying to push his weight around with the producers.

I liked it. It was fun. Norton gave a good performance. And easily it's a more dynamic film than "Hulk" (which I kinda liked too..) to this day whenever I watch "The Avengers", I wonder how Norton would of done as Banner. Clearly, Ruffalo and RDJ have awesome chemistry but it would of been cool to watch Norton interact with the others.

I like it, but it's totally inconsequential to the MCU as a whole. It also has the misfortune of just being a 'decent' Marvel flick. You can completely skip it, and it won't matter a bit.
I really like Roth as Blonsky.
It's a fun movie, but not one you'll revisit that often.

I love it and I wish Norton stayed on as Banner. As much as I love and respect Ruffalo, Norton LOOKS exactly like Banner especially when he puts on the glasses. Seeing his government issued identification card with him in his lab coat, wearing glasses, he literally looked like he was ripped straight out of the comics.
Regardless of its standing within the MCU it's still a fun, exciting, and cool film to watch. I wish they more or less kept the CGI design of the Hulk throughout the Avengers too. Here's hoping Universal gives the rights back to Marvel and we can see The Leader in the future.

I was a huge fan of it when it came out. The fight at the end was just what was needed after that crappy Ang Lee Hulk film.
