Alien and Aliens are the only ones that immediately come to mind. Both masterpieces, but I’m in no hurry to see them again.

For me, it is mostly movies with the "twist" endings like The Usual Suspects, Fight Club and The Sixth Sense. I may rewatch them at a later time, or watch them with someone who hasn't seen them, but after the first viewing where the secret is revealed they lose their poignancy. The second time you try to find what you missed, the rest of the times its better to see other's reactions.

I can pop in Aliens and sit through it no problem, but I need to be in the right frame of mind to watch the 1979 film. The 1986 movie is a classic but also more of a "popcorn flick ".

I think that's the case for a lot of historical dramas. Movies about slavery, the holocaust, Viet Nam, etc. Can be great, but the subject matter isn't something that encourages you to watch again.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind - Loved it when it came out. It was considered a classic at the time. Now all I can see is plot holes and hammy overacting.

I don't know how rewatchable Dunkirk will be on DVD/Blu. That's a movie meant to be seen in the cinema, just to experience the tension. I don't know how well that's going to translate to DVD/Blu.
