Been of fan of his since his early days of CZW, really happy he is starting to have success.
Would love to see his brother get a run as well.

It's got to be really fun seeing people go "I had no idea he had charisma!" when you saw his Campaign for a Better CZW Gimmick. This has to be familiar to you.

People calling him "boring" need to catch up on their CZW. Dude was brilliant.

Dude was the straight man in a stable with a man who was literally always tired and a weird quirky guy who found a abominable monster who smells like the deep reaches of the Florida swamp lands and decided to be his manager for some reason.
Dude’s always had great comedic timing. It’s awesome he’s showing now.

"Badda boom, realest champ in the room. How are you doing?"
Enzo's team spelling out "SAWFT" was great as well.

He is highly entertaining when given the chance. He was discounted by a lot of people who follow CZW as well before finally getting accepted. I find "No Fly Zone" is basically an extension of "Campaign for a better CZW". Also cool to see wrestlers that went through CZW doing really well in WWE right now (Ambrose, Owens, Zayn, Gulak). I highly suspect Lio Rush is going to do really well also.

Can someone run down this Campaign for a Better CZW story for those of us woefully ignorant?

I highly suspect Lio Rush is going to do really well also. So this is me pulling something completely from nowhere but CZW was a promotion that, at one point, sold itself on death matches with crazy fools doing things to their bodies. The talent that went through CZW had to do something to make themselves stand out and adapt themselves in a time when the main events were Zandig, Hyde and others throwing themselves off cars onto burning tables with light tubes or something. Which is why the school is, understatedly, one of the most successful wrestling schools of all time (Trever Lee, MJF, Mia Yim, Cesaro, Eddie Kingston, Rush, Shane Strickland etc). And with the rabid fan base CZW had (and still has), it was the PWG ethos of 'If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere' well before PWG had an established home base with a high price tag.

Did Gulak's CZW gimmick ever end with him getting bludgeoned in CZW fashion? I never would have guessed he had a history there.

Can someone run down this Campaign for a Better CZW story for those of us woefully ignorant? To put it simply, it was CZW's Right to Censor with Gulak taking the lead. Kimber Lee (Abbey Laith), Mr. Tofiga, Alexander James, Dewey Donovan were all in it, and they were constantly campaigning to Hyde about less death matches and the like. I'm putting it really simply but the segments are up on CZW's official YT page and they're really fun.

He was there since 2005 and was a big aspect in some of the later years of the company before he branched to other indies and WWE signed him. Now I'd have to look further into see if he was involved with anything too violent but maybe?

Full-on agree with this thread. Drew and the Fashion Squad are my favorite people in the company right now.

I just can't wait until someone gets on Gulak's bad side. Kayfabe or otherwise.
You haven't seen someone get torn up until you've seen Gulak roast someone. For those who watch CZW, I'm talking about how he went in on Nick Gage.

Friggen cheering for Gage and saying he has more class than Gulak like a week after he got arrested for robbing a bank, jesus.

He's also one of the few ever 205 Live Guys to get very noticeable loud reactions during 205 Live or on Raw on a consistent basis. Dude was drawing some really good heat last night. I know 205 Live loves long running heel champions but I would love to see Drew Gulak fulfilling his self appointed Drewmocracy by becoming Cruiserweight Champion. But he becomes a Drewdictator.

I'll severely miss his old theme (sure it was somewhat out of place, but it was unique and very Dio-esque), but he's always on my short list of guys to be retained should 205 Live ever go under (the others were Neville and Kendrick). He has the same kind of humor that my brother and I have when we're talking to friends of his (straight-faced snark), so he speaks to me on another level!
