It’s only a couple days away and my favorite holiday no less, so lets think of those times that wrestling and Halloween have had some memorable moments together. For sure, there are season shows every year in WWE, but I find that few things can beat that late 90’s WCW Halloween Havoc set with the giant inflatable gargoyle and pumpkin, complete with the Snickers logo splashed everywhere imaginable. I will also confess that Boogieman’s annual work with WWE every year has been a fave of mine, though it hasn’t happened in a while. Any others?

I really enjoyed the intro to Halloween Havoc 90 when the kids show up to trick or treat at Tony Schiavone’s house and immediately know who he is. One of them asks, “Tony, what’s that smell?” Tony replies “It’s my wife...
She’s baking...
Cookies.”
Absolutely classic. Haha.

I love the 2002 Halloween episode of Smackdown. Angle vs Eddie, Benoit vs Edge, Rey vs Brock, Kurt chasing Benoit around the arena, all the wrestlers dressed up in costumes acting silly, Cena as Vanilla Ice rapping for the first time, Brother Love showing up, Bischoff in a Vince mask being a creep to Steph... just a really fun episode of Smackdown from its best era.

Memphis Masquarade Maul, the yearly show where every one dresses in costumes to wrestle.
Popeye (Brian Christopher) nailing Batman Lawler with a can of spinach to win the battle royal is a personal favorite.

I always marked out for Sid Vicious' Halloween Havoc pinfall victory over "Sting". In fact I always stopped the tape immediately after Sid hoisted the WCW belt high.

Obvious one but Halloween Havoc 95. Ticked all the right stupid boxes in my opinion. If you can't make it legitimately scary, make it as carny as f***. Then add monster trucks.

The Halloween Phantom squashing Tom Zenk and later being brought back by Paul Heyman before unmasking as Rick Rude.
