Word had gotten back to me that I needed to lose 30 lbs, and this was right before I debuted as Ryback, he said. "I was in trunks, but they put me in a black singlet, which made me look like a black Big Show. I thought to myself that I had to do something with this, so I got a hold of RVD and asked him if It was cool that I airbrushed my singlet because I had to do something. This is the same company that called Candice Michelle, Mickie James, countless of other divas fat, pressured divas into getting breast implants, HHH calling a recently drug free Chris Masters small on TV for a laugh, had JR tell guys to bulk up 15-30lbs like Lance Cade and Renee Dupree leading to steroid use, for longest time would exaggerate wrestlers real height and weights, and countless of other body image issues for both sexes.
I know its Ryback and he says a lot but I can buy into this.

Vince said that Ryback looked 'phat' and the whole thing got completely misunderstood. It became even more confusing when Vince continued this verbiage when he saw Ryback's new Terminator motif singlet, with pistons and skulls and other cool guy stuff - "God damn, this guy looks phat!"

I can slightly buy Vince thought Ryback looked “big” and even that is a stretch but yeah no way dropping 30lbs was on the table

I got a hold of RVD and asked him if It was cool that I airbrushed my singlet because I had to do something. RVD then asked Hollywood Hogan, who asked the Ultimate Warrior, who held a seance to ask Rick Rude. Finally, Ryback was approved by the Council of Airbrushed Wrestling Gear. |

In a perfect world, there is a Wrestlecon somewhere out there where you have a booth where Ryback sits there and you can read back any number of quotes and stories he’s told so that he can hear what they sound like out of someone else’s mouth. And any time he gives you a “What, what’s wrong with that?” look or stares blankly not understanding how awful it is, you get to say to him directly, “You’re dumb as ****.”
