that's up there with Eddie Edwards beating Roderick Strong and Jay Briscoe beating Michael Elgin as one of the most shocking ROH World Championship title changes

Yeah I wonder if Wildcats put Cody's name on the belt to throw us off. I was certain that they f***ed up.

Just got back from the show. Simply amazing, not sure how it felt on PPV, but everything looked amazing live. Also had friends text me saying I was on camera. Was the skinny white dude in the white shirt by the entrance if anyone else noticed.

I was interested in this and then completely forgot about it until a few minutes ago when my buddy texted me about Cody’s hair.
Oh well. I’ll save that money for Wrestle Kingdom.
EDIT: Pumped about Dalton winning the belt though. Cody’s run has done nothing for me (actually hurt my enjoyment), and I love Dalton. So this is a huge win.

Kudos to ROH. I like Cody and was cool with him as champ, but ROH has a bad habit or dragging their heels on putting the title on a guy until people have cooled on them. Castle is a champion that has me interested in seeing what they'll do with them.

I didn't think it was a very good show. There was more surprises than amazement (I DID NOT think the Briscoes or Dalton would win their matches).
But Silas Young finally has gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interested in Dalton as champ
Cody for me peaked as champ a while back and you can do so much more with him and probably get better use with him than having the full show built around him
Will see how they handle this with Dalton or is this just a placeholder to get Cody back the title

Am I allowed to say that I was going to say I thought Dalton was going to win the title but didn’t want to be “that” guy considering most people were going for Cody and didn’t want to be the fool?
Because I was... 😋

I know they won't make the change but Dalton Castle vs Ibushi is a much much better match than Ibushi vs Cody

Am I the only one who is just perplexed by the Dalton Castle thing? The guy has such a cheesy, opening match type gimmick. It's baffling to me that any serious promotion would consider putting the world title on him. Considering Cody/Ibushi is already scheduled for the Tokyo Dome I would think Cody is getting the belt back at the next set of tapings. Either that or the Ibushi match is now non title so Ibushi can go over.
ROH to me has so many guys that just have go away heat with me, or just seem like guys playing wrestler rather than being a wrestler. Marty Scurll felt like that to me at first but he has since become a better performer, but there are so many guys who just fall flat whenever I watch ROH on TV. Beer City Bruiser and Silas Young are an instant channel change to me, Punishment Martinez is like watching an ROH version of Baron Corbin, anyone from the Kingdom is trash, etc. Here's a litmus test: Would NJPW book most of these guys on a regular basis and not as a favor to ROH?

Well, this is what happens when WWE raids them every six months or so like they've been the past four years

Match was bleh, but Dalton deserves this. Cody doesn't need the belt. "Match was bleh" That pretty much describes every Cody match to me. Every ROH show I've been to, Castle has been pretty much the most over thing on the show (save for the Young Bucks). Cody can dye his hair, have his smoking hot wife accompany him to the ring, join Bullet Club, get a tattoo, buy a ring, win the World Title, shorten his name, wear long trunks, get a new nickname, but at the end of the day he's still a solid, above average worker that doesn't do much to get me interested in his matches. I say that as a massive fan of Dusty Rhodes.

Show was alright. I think this does show that ROH needs to revamp their roster a bit though.

Was the ref in the tag title match wearing a TNA ref shirt? Also complete ugh on the ending of that.

Who ever put together the TV title match should be f***ing embarrassed. Every thing after Taylor was eliminated as garbage.
