So....this is Konnan pulling some "Springtime For Hitler" shit, right? Like, he's scamming investors? That's the only explanation here. Nah, it seems more like with Impact bolting to Canada and LU's at-the-time-it-was-being-put-toghether uncertain future, the people involved thought they'd slide right in and replace both of them. New #2 company! |

I just....the four names being bandied about in this thread....I have Konnan, I have Vince Russo, and I have the Harris Twins' company. Like...it's like somebody put together a braintrust for a wrestling company on peyote. It's totally the evil alternate universe Lucha Underground. There's the ex-WWE writer who represents all the worst excesses of sports entertainment (Vince Russo/Big Dick Johnson), there's the two megastars of '90s Mexico still playing out their eternal sorta-but-not-always-kayfabe rivalry (Konnan/Vampiro), and as for their producers... er, well, I could draw a point of comparison between the Harris Twins and the creator of the Apprentice, but that'd violate certain forum rules. |

I can't watch something with the Nazi Blu Brothers involved.
AND it sounds like it'll be trying to ape LU at least in part and I can't stand LU either.
They might have done it. They might have come up with the worst idea in wrestling.

Once I read Vince Russo is involved I shockingly lost interest. Ahhhh, I don't want to go to Japan to watch luchadores. Also Russo trying to write what I'm assuming storylines based on Latino heritage and identity? Welp folks grab the popcorn because this will be a disaster. |
