Batista in talks with Vince about a return

Since leaving WWE in 2014, after a short return, Batista has made a big name for himself in Hollywood. Starring in Guardians of the Galaxy, James Bond, Blade Runner, he has created a successful alternative career.

However, Batista recently featured on The Ross Report and explained that he has been in direct talks with Vince McMahon about returning to a full-time role in WWE, including house shows.

While some may consider this fantastic news, others have suggested that WWE has an age problem that wouldn’t be helped by the returning veteran. But the last time Batista appeared in 2014, he helped showcase younger talent, in the form of Daniel Bryan, and many are keen to see him do the same with the current rising stars of RAW and SmackDown Live.

I for one want a proper farewell run. Also, this frees up Triple H from anyone else at Wrestlemania.

Angle is free. Strowman is free. Jordan is free. This opens up 3 more potential matches.

Batista deserves one last run, and here is a man, who can still go and rightfully can get one more title run on the way out.

I mean, if he’s saying this, it’s obvious that a) he’s done his stuff for the next two Avengers movies, b) Guardians 3 isn’t going to be for another while (still have to hear that definitively from Fiege with all the Phase 4 stuff but still) and c) as a result of both, Marvel aren’t as fussed about him doing other things until then so he could potentially be on the roster for a good couple of years barring any new offers coming in.

I'm not sure what he is looking for. Is it a Rumble to Mania run? Rumble to Summerslam? Wrestlemania 35?

Because how long he is back will depend on if I would give him the title.

Him on the Smackdown roster having matches with Styles, Owens, Zayn, Shane, Ziggler, Nakamura, Roode, and a tag team with Orton would be fantastic.
