When Miz had his spiky mohawk and JBL said he looked like a Sleestak.
One time he was ragging on Jimmy Wang Yang's cowboy gimmick and Cole pointed out he was once Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw JBL tried to defend himself by claiming it was a 'rib'.

When he flipped his shit after watching Kane and Taker brutalize MVP and Mr. Kennedy in the same night.

JBL's freakout during a Sylvan vs. Jimmy Yang match still remains one of my favorite commentary moments to this day:
"I hate you, I hate both people in the ring. The referee is Canadian, I hate him too. He's the one who counted me out against Rey, who I also hate! I got beat by Bobby Lashley, who I hate! I'm the one that dropped the championship to John Cena, and I damn sure hate him! I hate all of you people!"

Sheamus was about to take on 3MB in a 3 on 1 handicap match.
"This match is totally unfair and unbalanced, 3MB need at least 3 more people to be competitive"

His initial run was great. His comeback was good at first. His prown authority heeling in the Daniel Bryan angle/Shield face turn and that whole shebang was probably his last top quality effort.

06-07. He was so good. The IWC loved him and they were right to.

Not a line, but throughout 2006 he would continually talk up Matt Hardy as the hardest working man in the company, and Greg Helms as the most underrated wrestler in the company, even when they were faces.
Also, there was a Smackdown show where it was Greg Helms v Jimmy Yang (recent gimmick change from Akio at the time), and despite it being quite good, the fans were bored stiff and it got a boring chant. Which made JBL entirely break character mid-heel rant and yell out "This is a great match between two of our most underrated stars. I think you people are boring!"
Or when he had to Joey Styles half a PPV because Michael Coles voice went.
I liked that JBL...

Some of his commentary from a match between Little Boogeyman and Hornswoggle was funny.
"Rey Mysterio would look like Andre the Giant in this match."

"If you put [Dean Ambrose's] face on a billboard, it'll make little kids cry!" I think this was during Dean's Title run on SD
He also slipped a Beer Money reference in during a Bobby Roode match. He was the only one at the table who could pull that off without forcing it.

I remember when Edge cashed in on Taker and JBL, the biggest heel as of two years ago on Smackdown, was trashing him for it. It really drove home how much of an opportunistic dick Edge was.

I remember Michael Cole losing his voice and JBL solo calling the last ten minutes of a pay per view main event and doing a pretty decent job of it too.

I remember the night when Punk walked out and a JBL chant during an extra long Del Rio/Kofi match, JBL stands up to take the applause and Alberto just shouts at him from the ring to sit down or something, great seeing him looking like getting legit pissed at JBL.

It was during one of the king of the ring tournament matches, I'm paraphrasing of course. Cole: John, if you were so great, why were you never King of the Ring?'' JBL: I was never in the tournament. Cole: Yes you were!'' JBL: Oh, yeah....(quietly) I lost to Jake Roberts.'' For whatever reason I got a kick out of that retro callback. Technically he's right, he lost a qualification match, he was never in a tournament

On a serious note, he sold the shit out of Roman's title win on Raw. Especially when Vince got superman punched off the Alton and Roman looked down at him.
